Here's Cybertron:

You can register with the site if you like, and not only "tag" the toys you own (and get a sig like mine), but also add missing items to the database yourself. The site's still in "beta", but I'm always ready for more brave tester types.

(I count Mini-Cons as separate entities from their partners) And I've got the terrible lack of room to prove it. lol

Welcome aboard! And ya even figured out how to do the sig! So, you say you have a lot of figures... got a camera?

Thank you! Dude...I saw the sig and had to get one. I'm big on freebies. lol
I actually do have most (but not all) Armada figures that Hasbro released. Along with Energon and Cybertron. (minus those darned Mini-Con 2-Packs, I mean seriously...who needs thirty repaints of the same boring mold? Ach!)
Problem is...my camera. I have a Webcam that's not bad, but not perfect. I have a 6.1 MP Digital, and I even built a crappy light box, but everything comes out yellow, I can't get the macro (or other settings) figured out, etc. Not to mention it eats batteries. If I get some batteries and a bunch of courage, I'll do my best to help. lol
BTW...does anyone have a checklist, or a link to a site that might be able to tell me exactly how to set my camera for the best pictures?

I suppose u could just politly ask if they need any help, or ask if their in to tfs too. I've made quite a few collector friends that way.Liege Evilmus wrote:Cyber Bishop wrote:Make friends, the more friends you have all working for the common good of finding the toys the better.
Form a group with local collectors and inform each other of what you find (since you can't always hunt, someone from the group may be able to hunt a bit more than you).
Wal Marts get trucks every day except Sunday. Now they may not shelf every day they get trucks all the time.
Maybe you can help me on this, I can always make small talk with Moms, and Grandparents who don't realy know what they're looking at. For me it's a fun way to share what I know, and I like opening conversations with "You know they'll hate you if you get that one!"
These people are always looking for whatever advice they can get, and again, I love sharing it.
But as for local collectors, unless they're with a supportive girlfriend, they are very untalkative, you can tell even somewhat afraid of the interpersonal contact, and they run off
Maybe they feel embarased about being grown and collecting toys for a hobby, but I'm doing the same thing.
The guys that are taken are the exact opposite, they wanna talk, get coffee next door, and all that jazz, which in itself is kinda weird.
So I guess I'm asking, with out slapping them in the back of the head or sharing any of my women, how do I make the shy guys like the taken guys?
I wouldn't mind meeting some other collectors in my area. I know tons of sci-fi people, and I have fun with them. But outside of this, I could care less about most sci-fi. TFs are something very specific, and I wouldn't mind meeting some locals with that same particular intrest.

This past Christmas, I snuck a Cybertron Soundwave to a mom after her son was upset they couldn't find it. She said it probably just made her son's Christmas, and that was worth more to me than having him on the shelf ever could be. (*end warm fuzzy moment*)

Also check wal mart late at night they usually have thier pallettes out and the employess are usually very good about helping u search them!! one more thing tell ur situation to the employee that u are talking to that usually makes them want to help u more!! Happy hunting!
