Did anyone else feel cheated by Ironhide's death? Sentinel just turned around shot him, no epic battle, no last words, nothing. If you ask me, Ironhide deserved to go out with a bang.

i agree, the way he died was horrable (the rust gun)
there should of been an epic fight

I disliked it very much because it seemed so pointless to do it. We lost several characters between 2 and 3 anyway. If it adds no emotional impact, why show him go in such a gruesome way? It was OOT, and then never once did a character acknowledge it. He could have just disappeared like the other characters.

Maybe because the Decepticons came to Earth that night? It was a near perfect way for Sentinel Prime to turn on the Autobots. I guess he could have killed Bumblebee, but can you imagine the uproar over that?

I feel cheated by Megatron's death more than Ironhide. Despite having a gun, despite being far enough away to reasonably react to an attack, despite all of Prime's debilitating wounds at the hands of Sentinel, Optimus STILL rofl-chops the single-most iconic Decepticon in the series without so much as a struggle.

They might bring megatron back (I saw a number 4 is proberly going to happen) like he always did in the cartoons.

NO. The idea was for shock for his death, as well as when Sentinel turned on the Autobots. I would have preffered him die in battle being a warrior, but it made sence that sentinel took him out the way he did since Ironhide was the greatest warrior next to Optimus.
However, i do feel that his death should have been acknowledged by other autobots at some point in the movie rather than no one saying anything. That was a big mistake.

In the cartoon they didn't receive instantly-fatal head wounds. When someone's skull is bisected by a super-heated axe blade they don't usually come back, that's how you make sure they don't come back. Also, poor Starscream, that had to have been his most inglorious death yet and he's had a lot.

Extremely improbable, but if they jettison the 'Con corpses into space maybe Unicron will remake them. If the next one has Galvatron, Cyclonus, and Scourge that would be pretty cool.

Yay remake megatron as galvatron.....but that means unicron will have to be in it. As for starscream i laughed alot at that scene. The way he reacted was hilarious :lol:

I think shockwave should have had a bigger role or atleast a classic speach more scenes in it :-(

You're supposed to feel cheated by Ironhide's death. It was a cold blooded murder, an execution. It was intended to be shocking, quick and cheat worthy. That's what a death like that is, in real life.

Doesn't lessen the impact or shock of it though.
