I can't seem to find Long Haul at all. I was hoping to get a look at him myself before making the decision of getting him, but I've never physically seen him.

I've checked the Toys R Us, Target, and Wal marts constantly. Wal Mart has tons of Voyagers (at least 5 of each and tons of Ratchets), but no Long Haul. It's really weird. It makes me wonder if someone was secretly buying them up and putting them on ebay for a profit or if there was a packing mistake or if he's really that popular.

If you don't mind ordering online, Amazon has it for a long time below the retail price. I believe TRU.com have it as well. B-)

I think scalpers lurk around these forums, trying to find out what figures we want the most. I may start a few post saying how badly I want Wheelie, that might clear some of them off the shelves.

Don't forget Chromia, she's pretty much clogging the pegs as well.

I like Long Haul. Very poseable feature. The only thing that would have made if even better for was if his wrists rotated. With bent elbows he's always palms up.

I've found him, but whoever created the instructions sheet needs to be smacked but good - I can't figure out how to transform the legs into the front end. >.< And I almost never have troubles like this.

That's it. The absolute next time I see him, he's mine finally. Of course, after passing him up a couple times, he's no longer on the shelves around here. lol.

But yes, next time...

Are you talking about robot -> alt or alt -> robot? You could check out some vids on youtube, that's what I do when I couldn't figure out some transformation.

Every time I see Long Haul on the shelves, I'm tempted to buy one...

...even though I already own him!

That's how awesome he is. And he just looks terrific in the ROTF packaging.

Robot -> Alt, actually. He comes packaged in robot mode, so going Alt -> Robot I'd at least have a vague idea of how to change him back.

I wish they would include instructions for both transformations on all TFs. Well, maybe not Legends or Scouts. But definitely with Leaders and Voyagers, it's never as simple as "reversing the instructions". Long Haul's legs gave me trouble going from bot-to-alt the first couple times, but it's easy once you "get it".

Then I kinda know what your talking about. If I remember correctly it's a matter of bending the hips into different sections and there's tabs that's suppose to click into secure his legs.

He's just starting to show up in/around Chicago for what I know, but Long Haul is a very very neat figure.

OK, all this talk about this figure has made me start to consider him. I have no ROTF figures, but might make an exception here. If I see him at WalMart, he may make his way into my cart.

Worst case, he'll wind up in the box of "figures in waiting" for my boys. Looks like a winner though.

With respects to robot mode, he's probably the absolute best Voyager in the line.

I think he's far and away THE BEST Voyager in the ROTF line, both in bot mode and alt mode. What ROTF Voyager is better in either mode? I can't think of one.

Well, given my problems with getting the legs / front end into alt mode, I say Mixmaster has a better alt mode. :P

Well, I'd put Voyager Starscream on the same level as Long Haul, as my two favorite Voyager Class toys in the ROTF line in both Alt and Robot modes... of course, I know many people don't like the look of Starscream in his robot mode... Although Mixmaster is probably my other favorite in his Alt mode. His robot mode is good, though. It's growing on me.

As for the folding of Long Haul's legs, that's actually pretty easy once you realize the legs bend down and under, instead of over the top, like in every other Transformer. Also, you have to make sure the legs are folded nice and square, otherwise, lining up the pegs can get tricky. Surprisingly, the hardest part I had in the first transformation was pegging the back wheels together. They seemed to want no part of it... oh and at the very end when I was fully forming the back bed, one arm lined up perfectly, the other, not so much...

Of course, I transformed him back into his robot mode and noticed his left arm is sort of loose... the part above the elbow where the arm would swing side-to-side... never noticed it before, although it may have been that way out of the box. Not sure how upset I should be about it... it doesn't appear it will be falling off anytime soon, but I can swing his arm with only my pinky finger... but still doesn't take away how cool he is.

I usually consider voyagers to be the weakest size class, but the RotF voyager figures are some of the best ever.
