TRANSFORMERS LEGACY: A CELEBRATION OF TRANSFORMERS PACKAGE ART
Jim Sorenson, Bill Forster (w)
Remember the thrill of tearing open the wrapping on Christmas morning, discovering a brand new TRANSFORMERS toy in a shiny new box? While the toys were amazing in their own right, what made the packages stand head-and-shoulders above the competing action figures on shelves was the stunning box art. Transformers: Legacy collects hundreds of beautifully airbrushed paintings from the iconic first decade of The Transformers. Essays and interviews from the original illustrators give unprecedented insight into the process behind the art. This book is chocked full of extras, including never before seen artwork from toys that never were, original design sketches, catalog artwork, and more.
300 pages, $49.99.
Bullet points:
• The Transformers art book that you've been waiting for all these years! From the archives of Hasbro, Takara and private collectors!

OMG if Megatron is going to be on the Lost Light with the rest of the crew then OOOOOOOOOOOOH BOY! I smell a SITCOM!

(Which probably means they have figured out how to add even more pineapple on pizza.)

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

Verity is on Earth. With the spare Aequitas back-up.
Wouldn't a "Shattered Glass Autobot Megatron" still be evil?Bumblevivisector wrote:Ah yes, I can smell a future TFCC toy already:

Yes and no. I would always recommend getting in at one of the 'starting points'. But there is still a lot of work that happened in previous parts of the series that might matter and change things.
Definitely recommended though, if you liked the Spotlights, everything MTMTE and RID up to Dark Cybertron, go for the trades. That's 5 volumes each.
If you can, Last Stand of the Wreckers will give you a feel for what MTMTE is trying to do, as well.

I'm also having trouble believing that there is more good material to mine on Earth, especially as such effort has been made in the past to make it clear that humans don't want transformers around and don't need help in dealing with the occasional Decepticon that gets stuck there. A pity that they didn't decide to go to another planet, even Nebulos, which had a higher tech humanoid population and none of the back-story baggage. As for the death of Rodimus - lets face it, who stays dead in these comics anyway?
Not one, not two, but THREE new fembot character, and one of which has another brand new name!• Learn the secret history of WINDBLADE, CHROMIA, and NAUTICA!
