I think Hot Rod was more of an arc than that. He started as just an average Joe, but felt the need to make a difference, trying to help his leader Prime when Megatron was trying to kill him. Sure this turned out to be a flubber resulting in Prime's death and then he took ownership of the Matrix, but he was only trying to catch it when it fell. It's not like he stole it.

But he came back from his clumsiness and saved Kup, Arcee, Daniel, Springer, Magnus (through succesion), and everyone else on board Unicron, while also destroying Unicron and Galvatron. He is the hero.

And no matter what anyone says, he didn't cause Prime to die. Had Hot Rod not attacked Megatron, he still would've popped Prime.

Magnus would be cool too. Just wish Robert Stack were still around to voice him. :cry:

Wouldn't mind Hot Rod. He was cool.. As long as he don't replace Optimus.

Saab makes military weapons too so it would be cool to see that and something lik a viggen fighter jet too on the 'con side

Agreed! I flipped when I first saw him he was a cool car and he had the crazy streak to him. People just hate him because it's supposedly his fault Prime died. Megs pulled the trigger, he's the jerk.

i dont hate him because he killed prime.

It'll be great if we can see a gigantic metroplex in TF2 (and maybe trypticon too), but i'm afraid the movie will turned to be a "power rangers movie".
