My sets of these guys just came in and I have to admit being disappointed in the washed out colors on Veer and Cogz. They look like they have been bleached by the sun. QC wise, other than the colors not being as advertised, Veer was missing the white stripe paint app to his right forearm, which is minor, but considering how little paint is on these it is pretty noticeable when an app is missing on one side. Veer's head also will not move at all, so its a good thing I like the face that is showing. Also on the QC front my Duneraker's left leg keeps falling off the ball joint at the hip at the slightest touch, so hoping Future fixes that. My Hench from the last batch had the same problem with a shoulder and a little Future took care of it. Bushwhacker's gun won't fit into his hand as the peg is too big, so Banjo-Tron isn't alone in having that issue. Overall I do like them and they fill the void for these four in my collection. That said, I am glad the next waves of mini-warriors don't appeal to me because I won't pre-order from iGear again, will just see what things look like when BBTS gets them in stock. Value wise their sizes do help their prices seem more reasonable, Veer and Cogz are stocky little bots! On a side note, Veer and Cogz remind me of Miami Vice with Crockett and Tubbs always wearing pastels

Shame about those additional QC issues :-(

I agree with not pre-ordering any iGear products in the future. I've got a Word doc with a list of every figure I want for my Neo-Classics collection and did have Wheelie marked as one I will be getting soon(ish), but now have him marked as if there is nothing being mentioned about him atm. Wont ever consider iGear as an option from now on until some in-hand images have appeared [-(

But igear Wheelie looks really nice, and the right size. I am so tempted to buy him even with all the stupid crap that iGear do. But knowing iGear, by the time Wheelie gets shipped, he will be a dull faded yellow and Voyager sized

I have been using the GDO deluxe Wheelie, which I actually really like, in my collection and have considering tracking down a second to do the arm and leg mods on to make it more short and stocky like these iGear minis. At least that way I know he will be orange and not washed out pink or yellow

Remembering back, iGear DID do a show accurate Huffer first... then a darker toy color one. (Given, I think all of these were TOO washed out.)

But point being, I'm quite expecting a darker version of each on the horizon... and a lot of fans groaning. Show accurate is one thing, but these were really washed out. I think they were looking at the comics and other sources to pull the colors and just shot a little too extreme.

Curious about this GDO Wheelie mod. Got a link?

Have a bad feeling you are right about iGear doing a second wave of these in more accurate colors after these sell out :-(

Here is a link to the leg mod, which is really a mistransformation. The second link is the arm mod, which involves cutting and gluing, which is why I want to find a second Wheelie first. I have a weird thing about wanting to keep one stock version of a figure and doing mods on a separate one. Wish I could find a pic of someone having done both mods.

That's you! Chime in with a mod of both the GDO Wheelie arm and leg mods. ;)

Seriously, after seeing the GDO figure with mods, that might be a contender for best Wheelie. Really nice.

BUT, I will wait for iGear's version to check out the color. Like the rest of the gang, will probably stop pre-ordering and wait for reviews to check out the color.

That comic they referenced for colors must be faded...

Snap! :APPLAUSE:

Yeah, I'm guessing there may be some washed out IDW appearances they looked at. I have no complaints there, though. The IDW crew have some amazing colorists working. The page spreads have a consistent tonal quality and mood that I really admire. You can really get the impression that there are real light sources involved.

Finally found a link with both mods applied to GDO Wheelie.

Soon as I dig out my camera I will get a pic posted of my set of iGear bots mixed with some of my classics Ark crew.

Damn that is tempting, but Wheelie is particularly diminutive and this mod, nice as it is, still leaves Wheelie as tall as Bumblebee, when ideally I would like him Windcharger-sized or smaller. But like others, I'm very reluctant to pull the trigger on the pre-order after being very disappointed with iGear's poor output on these guys.

Okay, sorry it took me so long to get these taken and post them. My photography skills are not the best, but this may give you an idea of how these guys look mingled with other bots. My mini-bots range from mini to not so mini :D Also should say these latest iGear bots photograph better than they look in hand as far as colors go. These shots make them look a tad brighter colored than the very washed out look they have in hand. Still very happy with these molds, just wish the colors had been as originally advertised. They do look pretty good mixed in with everyone else though.

I picked up a second Wheelie to try putting the mods out on, when I get him done I will get a couple pics of him with Bee and the new iGear bots for comparison. I am hoping that since Hasbro is putting out Cosmo and Swerve in the new Legends scale that they may put out a Wheelie with that line as well. a Wheelie the size of the Bee from the new Legends 2 pack would be pretty cool. That would even scale well with FoC Grimlock and the Impossible Toys Daniel in his exo-suit :D

Thanks! He is my fave custom I have done so far and will have to tide me over until we get a new Huffer from someone. I used to have iGear's Rager and Spray, but sold themm off when the other mini-warriors came out being so much larger. I'm not really too hung up on scale, as evidenced by the gigantor Seaspray and Powerglide in the pics above, but the iGear's Rager and Spray are just too small for me personally even though I did really like the molds.
