Wow, you're reading quite a lot into my statement. I'm not trying to make you look stupid, I'm just pointing out that Hasbro does their fair share of IP theft. That's not an attempt to flame it's a fact. You have your opinion on these type of figures and I have mine, and I'm cool with that.

Now on to the politics…

So Hasbro looses some potential profit because they didn’t want to put out these characters. Cry me a river. Tough luck Hasbro, step up your game !!!

The bottom line is Hasbro CAN’T DO ANYTHING about I-Gear. The company is based out of China. Hasbro has no rights in China because there are no copyright laws in China. Which means I-Gear is a legitimate company under Chinese law and is breaking no laws of their land.

What Hasbro could do is stop online retailers based in America like BBTS and Toy Arena from selling I-Gear products. But Hasbro cant stop the flow of products coming in US mail via online retailers based out of China. US Customs doesn’t have the manpower to open every package that comes from China and see if it is contraband. And they wont do Hasbro any special favors. Because if they do it for one company, then every company in the USA that gets their stuff bootlegged by China will be entitled to the same level of enforcement. And that’s a lot of stuff to check because China bootlegs everything. US Customs primary focus is on illegal drugs, weapons, import tax enforcement on high value items, and keeping out agricultural threats that might bring foreign disease into our country. They don’t have time to hunt for toy robots.

they look like they can transform back & forth thru the 2 modes in the pics in this thread.

Ofcause I wish these were deluxe sized instead of basic sized. as i'm all about scale. the 1986 Gnaw toy was huge & was deluxe sized. the sharkticons in the media movie/cartoons were shown huge & not tiny.

I suspose if the 3rd party price was cheap & below $30 for all 3 in the set,i'd buy them. I'm guesing the trio set will be sold for around $65 to $70,which would be a similar high price like reflector is selling for.

now if hasbro was selling this for around $7.99,I'd buy one or two in a heart beat. one would go on a display shelf. while the 2nd gets to stay MISB.

I really hope this is accurate, that would explain why three are shown in the promotional art. If so I might actually get a dozen.

Looks awesome, I'm down for a set. I don't see Hasbro/Takara doing a version of these guys, really. The closest we could ask for was that Botcon Sharkticon, which isn't GeeWun enough for me.
