I'm assuming you mean Thrust, right? Dirge doesn't come out for a few months yet.

Heh, yeah- Thrust. Honestly, if it's not Starscream or Thundercracker, they all sorta blend together for me.
Seibertron wrote:Do any of you guys follow Death's Head much? He's one of my favorite characters from the "Transformers" universe (ahem ... Marvel Universe). I just found out about these Death's Head trade paperbacks that came out back in 2006/2007 in the UK. I finally get to read his stories outside of the Transformers comics after all of these years! I'm geeked to say the least.

I'd love to see Hasbro do a Death's Head figure in their Marvel Universe toy line. And Circuit Breaker!
Death's Head was in the first UK comic I ever bought waaay back in '87 at a comic store near Southfield, MI. I was into Death's Head from the moment I saw him. Still wish he could return to his roots. I don't think Death's Head is as popular out of the Transformers universe as he is in it.

Steve!!
So how was that early ass flight you had to catch? I felt bad for you having to basically stay up all night. I hope you caught some z's on the plane.
I just got back last night at 11pm after an unexpected two additional day stay. My wife accidentally booked our tickets for the wrong date. Innocent mistake! We ended up doing priceline.com for a resort on the walt disney propery and ended up staying at the Hilton across the street from downtown disney for $65 a night on Monday and Tuesday. Not a bad deal for 1/2 the price. It ended up turning out great that we had a couple of extra days down there. I really needed some partial r&r (as much as Seibertron.com allows me) after working my ass off from morning until night from Thursday morning to Sunday night. Yesterday at the poolside with my family was the most relaxed I've felt in months.
Nice getting to catch up with you. Now we just got to get a few of the other Chicago guys over here from TFW and we'll be all good over here.
Here's to having beers with all of you soon. We need to plan an outting soon to a Friday's, Chili's, or something. Or better yet ... somewhere that's not too busy near the Rosemont area that has a nice outside patio bar area.

TRU in Burbank had everything as of yesterday from scout to leaders. Only thing missing was voyager Payload. That activators and a good part of the deluxes are in a "basket" center isle before the legos, and I think next to the Air Bender toys. I only picked up Leader Prime, and deluxe bumblebee. I've had leader SS for a few months now, the PCC's I'm gonna wait for payday since Botcon really tapped out my petty cash.

You've made my day dahpadre! Thanks! I'm headed there as soon as I get out of work (which is a little trek because I'm downtown).

It's a shot in the dark but if you're not getting out there until later in the day, I'd recommend calling the store first to see if they'd hold them for you. If you don't get someone who seems like they know what they're doing with TFs, then I'd still go out there later.

Well, hopefully I'm getting there sooner, because where I work we might close the office early because of the holiday (I work at a school). I've tried calling that TRU before, as recent as this year, but they usually don't know anything about what I'm talking about, or they won't hold because its "against policy." I used to live over by the Western TRU, and they were the exact opposite.

When or if you call, just say Transformers in the yellow packaging. They seem to know colors! LOL! @ Seibertron I sure will get Ken on board. He actually lives in the NW corner of Indiana, but post Illinois cause most IN post seem to come form from the Indianapolis area. I had to read your post twice. When you said "draft Ken" I thought you meant his state of mind after a few drinks

Surprisingly, he held up a great conversation in his "draft"ed state last Saturday night. He said he'd stop by here so I'm holding him to it. I can't remember his username though. I get confused with real names and usernames.

Awesome. Thanks for doing that, Steve (do you go by Steve or Steven?). Hope to see him here soon.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.
First-Aid wrote:Made another trip to the TRU in Rockford today and scored MORE swag. Picked up Seaspray, BB Bumblebee, and Bombshock and the Combaticons PCC. They still have both 5 pack PCCs on the shelf, one each of the 2 packs, and Seaspray, Payload, and Black Ratchet.
Is anyone else here stunned at the new stuff showing up at TRU first and not at WalMart and Target, who usually are the first ones to get new figs?
Seibertron wrote:I think we should start a "draft Ken" petition in this Illinois sightings forum. I'm going to bust my butt to get all of you guys to post over here from TFW one-by-one.
I'm still shooting myself in the foot for not starting these sightings forums until about 3 years ago instead of doing it when my staff wanted to. I fought them for the longest time on it.

FWIW I bought Leader Starscream, PCC Smolder and Huffer, and Dlx Ironhide. All are awesome!

Not as of 7pm tonight they didn't. I stopped by after work and all they had left was one new leader Prime and a BB Bumblebee and maybe a new activator or two.
