His robot mode is cool. But his alternate mode is very unusual. I think he stole the head design from Megatron from the movie.

For the most part I'm liking the Animated designs, but this doesn't grab me. But who knows, when I see it in the store I may change my mind.

I still think he'd make a better Shockwave than Megatron.

His alt mode, looks really weird.

I prefer his alter animated look than this. mean the design for the earth animated looks is Megatron. not this.

I'll have to wait and see the final figure. To make a decision.

I'm still waiting for th rest for the characters prototypes.
Like Ultra Magnus, Jazz, Junkion.

If you've seen the other image of this toy that has croped up on another thread (the one with him fully coloured) he suddenly starts to make sence, and looks very megatronish. At least the colours suit him more than the prototyp blue shown here.

I saw it, he still looks very little like the design. I'm guessing like Prime, we'll get another version of Megs that will be his Earth mode, and look like the design.

In any case, if this is not Shockwave, then we still need to see a proto for him as well. I wonder what he'll look like then?

Blitzwing from the sketches should be the better figure of the first few waves of this line.

We've seen Blitzwing's concept art already. No images of the prototype yet, though. He looks strange: he turns into a bloated jet and a Cobra HISS tank from GI Joe...

he looks like a combination of the movie meatron and the old g1 meg's(got his colour scheme if u look at the paperback issues)yet a very nice lookin toy!vehicle-thingy mode is ok.a it weird lookin.doesnt scream'"crap!get out of the way is megatron!" its more like "oh...its megatron no biggie"

It's a much better Cybertronian Jet than the Movie Megatron. At least it is instantly recognizable as a space craft.

That's what I was thinking. Looks as though they've filled in all the techno-organic pipes and cables of the movie character and given Megatron a more "animator friendly" design by straping on nice smooth curves Gundam armor. All the while giving him a face and general shape that resembles the movie design.

Personally, I've hated everything I've seen so far, this, the sword carrying version in the drawings, Bulkhead and Lumberjack Prime. Best I recall, I hate Soundwave DUB Edition as well.

Every line with a cartoon is designed for kids.
