Transformers makes the leap
Paramount Home Entertainment has officially announced the anticipated Blu-Ray Disc release for Michael Bay's mega-spectacle Transfomers, and it looks to be their first big deal release.
A thrilling battle between the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons erupts when their epic struggle comes to Earth, and all that stands between the Decepticons and ultimate power is a clue held by young Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf). Unaware that he is mankind’s last chance for survival, Sam and Bumblebee, his robot disguised as a car, are in a heart-pounding race against an enemy unlike anything anyone has seen before.
The new disc will carry an Audio Commentary with Michael Bay, the Featurettes The Story Sparks, Human Allies, I Fight Giant Robots, Battleground, Rise of the Robots, Autobots Roll Out, Decepticons Strike, Inside the AllSpark, Transformers Tech Inspector, More than Meets the Eye, From Script to Sand: The Skorponok Desert Attack and Concepts, Trailers, Easter Eggs and BD-Live features. All of the release's bonus materials will be presented in high definition!
The disc will arrive in 1080p AVC with 5.1 PCM and Dolby TrueHD lossless sound when it arrives on September 2nd
