GameSpot.com has posted two interesting interviews with fan-favorite voice actors Peter Cullen and Frank Welker. It was unveiled last night that Frank Welker would reprise his role as Megatron in Activision's upcoming "Transformers: The Game" which is based off this summer's blockbuster Transformers Movie.

Good Interviews. I can't wait to hear Welker vs Cullen in the Game. It also gets me wondering who Welker will play in the movie.

that sux they never gave the guys thier fan mail. When ever I heard cullen do anythig else my brother and I were always like: Hay Its Optimus Prime! I am really glad they cast him in the movie, it will help out alot I think to hear optimus' voice coming out of optimus. Hopefully Hugo doesnt mess it up for me. Its hard to imagine megatron having a different voice.

What a nice early birthday present for me (it's 9th April FYI). Im very happy to see that Frank will be Megatron, even if it's only for the videogame. I will buy the game if only out of respect for Frank and Peter. See I respect my elders

You know, it really gets ya, when you see that the two guys behind your favorite characters and heroes are just as incredible as the voices they created. The persona's they gave life to.
They really do appreciate us, and they give us 100% of their effort, and they don't have to.

If Keith David is gonna be Barricade, then Frank will probably do Frenzy like on the old show, and most likely Scorkpinok, and or two or three guys. On the series he did like 6 characters? He can crazy things w/ his voice. Something tells me one or more Deceps won't get that many lines, so he'll do more than TF likely. He did Megs, (Rumble/Frenzy/Megs/Soundwave/Wheelie and others)...they also can put their VA's in mixers to sound different as we know, man, wouldn't that be cool> to have the Welker soundbox voice in the movie!!!

Y'know, it's good to know that Frank was able to get involved in some manner. I wouldn't have minded him being in the actual movie, but I never thought he really had a "live-action"-sounding voice that could work...now being in the video game? That's not bad at all.....

Who wants to put odds on us being led astray here? Maybe Welker is doing Megatron's voice in the movie, and what better way to keep it a secret than to lie about it?
It just seems odd that Bay would go with Cullen and not Welker - I can't see where either of their voices have "aged" dramatically, and I sure can't see what Hugo Weaving could possibly bring to the role; he can play evil, but not supervillian evil (face it - Megs had all the attributes of a supervillian in the original series - he didn't act like a military leader until the '86 movie). I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
