I'd agree with MP Grimlock(Takara version) too. An excellent rendition of Grimlock. Didn't like Laser Convoy but when he was given the Black convoy treatment........Awesome!

As much as a dinobot fan I am, MP Grimlock is NOT perfect. The whole "sacrifice one hand in order to get a weak light-up mechanism" takes that title away from him.

I have a few toys that are perfect for me. I hate it when a figure is needlessly difficult to transform and if they feel like they are going to break through normal use. To me, MP Grimlock is perfect. Classics Jetfire is perfect. The Classics Seeker mold is perfect.
Here is a surprise pick for you: Universe Silverbolt. I love that guy. Simple transformation, great representation of the character, large size, cool alt mode. He's got it all!

Excuse me, must've been something I ate. Anyway, the G2 Laser Prime mold (specifically, the RID Scourge repaint)was pretty close to being perfect, same goes for MP Grimlock and the MP Seekers.
Well, I've had good luck so far!

I think i wrote it there but it as IMO

but honestly...the closest i would say to being perfect would be Bruticus with the FP upgrades. If that counts.

Personally i'd count the bruticus add-ons.
Because i'm listing 3RD party hexatron/sixshot as perfection.

I have to agree with the ROTF Leader Prime mold. If it wasn't for that backpack and if it had a slightly more accurate transformation...it could be. Or really, really close.
As is, it's my favorite movie figure, my favorite Prime figure and quite possibly my favorite TF, period. I mean, he's really up there and has always impressed me.
DOTM Sentinel Prime is nowhere near perfect, but he constantly amazes me and I have a hard time giving him negative marks.

Here's a few honourable mentions though:
MP Prime
MP Grimlock
RTS Special Ops Jazz
Classics Mirage
Generations Warpath
Binaltech Smokescreen
These toys are just a point or two away from being flawless.
Runners up in the just plain awesome catagory:
RID Megatron
Fireconvoy
G1 Jetfire
G1 Sludge
G1 Soundwave (work out how to bend those knees backwards and it WOULD have been perfect)
Beast Wars Monkey Primal
Beast Wars Trex Megs
MP Skywarp
G2 "HERO" Megatron
RTS Wreck-Gar
Armorhide
Anything by Fansproject.
I better stop now.
