I can't believe what I just found at my local retro toy store. Dinozaur TRex in his box for just $3!! All he's missing is his sword, and that really doesn't bother me because I'm finally going to get to do my own Grimlock in TFM's style. I've been wanting to get one of these for going on five years now and could just never bring myself to spend $30 on him on ebay. I never guessed my waiting would pay off this well.

A most excellent find. I recently just discovered a shop local to me that regularly sells loose Tfs, including a couple of bins that are just bits. It's kind of nice walking into a place and finding stuff you'd never expected. (I bought a TM Megs tail I wanted for a conversion.) I'm looking forward to seeing your Grimlock.

yea, its the KB that first got me interested in it all. I think I'm going to keep almost all of the chrome stuff though, TFM took it all off. I figure G1 grim had some pretty shiny silver and gold, why not mine. Also, I'm considering leaving some of the translucent red between joints and what not. It will make the clear red sword I'm making unmistakably his.

good point. I never actually read the subheading to the photo fun section. I just think of this as the one thread, your toys doing stuff.
