New Zealand sits on a doozey of a fault line and I grew up with them underfoot. There's been a few in the last couple of years where I thought "oh crap, do I need to get under a desk?"
I am now of the mind that unless the roof is splitting, I stay put. Although, the biggest one I was in recently cracked the foot path and the foundation of my shanty, as well as coming uncomfortably close to dumping a concrete balcony on my friend's head. That was a 6.8!
But in all honesty, I miss them if they're not happening. I almost go into a kind of withdrawal...
As for snow... only been in it once.
Oh yeah, and did your dog go all quiet? That's always a bit creepy when the animal kingdom shuts its yaps for a few minutes before the quake hits.

I'll do better than Richmond, that poor town is going to literally sink into the sea.
