WACKY HILLARY GIZMO IS A REALL EASY SHELL

September 7, 2007 -- Beware, sugarplum fairies of the political world, there’s a new nutcracker in town - and her name is Hillary.
The Hillary Nutcracker, which sells for $19.95, is quickly becoming the most Hill-arious joke of the campaign trail.
The 8-inch plastic figure captures Sen. Clinton in all her walnut-crunching glory, with steel-lined legs (“stainlesssteel thighs!”) that can pulverize even the hardest shells.
The device is the brainchild of Minneapolis businessmen and novelty makers Frank Freeman and Gibson Carothers, who say they’ve sold 15,000 already. Carothers says the walnut walloper raises “key questions” in the 2008 presidential race - and can be loved by both Hillary fans and foes.
“Does it represent the pushy, polarizing Hillary or the tough Hillary that can handle a right-wing nut?” he said.“Everybody laughs, regardless of their politics.”
The nutcracker box includes supposed testimonials from politicians.
“I can feel Bill’s pain,” reads one quote attributed to Barack Obama.
“Hillary Nutcracker - that’s redundant,” John McCain says.
“No comment,” is all Bill Clinton had to say.
Carothers jokes that it “easily wins fights with Arnold Schwarzenegger action figures.”
He has even made a music video, posted on YouTube, for a song called “Hillary’s a Nutcracker: Feel the Squeeze.”
“She’s got to crack more than the glass ceiling to become the first woman president,” reads a message attached to the online video. Carothers says he, Freeman or their company, Eagleview USA, have no political biases.
Hillary’s campaign could not immediately be reached for comment.
