I just wanted to put out that if anyone has yet to check out the Japanese Transformers series Materforce, please do so.

I got a bootleg set a while ago, and couldn't actually watch it until recently as we just purchased a laptop and I can now be able to see the subtitles now.

I thought it was a great series, I very much liked the storyline - though it is a lot more human-oriented so it won't be for everyone - but in any case I thought it was an excellent series, I found the flow very nice, the characters interesting, it was great to see rare toys like Sixknight and Overlord animated ans overall it was great!

The only problem now is that I want to collect Masterforce stuff, and it's really expensive lol.

Time to move into my Transformers Victory set, I hope it's as good as Masterforce was.

I have it on VCD. The voice acting is beyond bad. Also I think Headmasters was the better series.

Try looking on ioffer.com for these, I got my Headmasters set there very cheaply.

Prices are in $AU, which thanks to the economic crisis makes them very cheap in conversion rates to the $US or Euro's.

I'm about half way through Super God, and although I dig Ginrai, I'm kinda sick of him stealing the lime light and beating the crap out of everyone, especially those real "competent" Powermasters, Buster and Hydra. But I have to admit it was refreshing to watch him get his arse handed to him by Overlord in their first confrontation.

I quite like the humans; no one in particular, really, because I think most of them are great. Except for Bullhorn (is it Bullhorn?) and Wilder. They are a bit "meh...", in my opinion.

I don't think you'll find Victory to be as equally enjoyable as Masterforce, but that's just my humble opinion. Then again, with awesome characters like Gaihawk and Hellbat, you just may...

Yeah so far I like Victory a lot, but not as much as Masterforce. I find I'm not into the characters as much, but I'm very much liking seeing the rare figures like Dinoking, Leokaiser and Landcross in animated form.

I think Masterforce harkens back a bit to the days when I watched Robotech on Saturday mornings, That could be part of my like for it.
