Alteisen? sound familiar at all? I can't remember if thats it. But that sounds right as far as the mech I'm talking about.
I only saw the first episode or two. The episodes I saw the battles only took place on Earth. Or at least an Earthlike planet.

That is a player controled mech from some of the Super Robo Taisen Games. If it is the mecha in question that the show would be Super Robot Wars Original Generation: Divine Wars.

Bravo.
Thank you for the comment. I'm glad you liked it. I'll be sure to post an image or 2 when I have her completely finished.
Vash the Stampede is my next project.

I adore Belldandy, so you can imagine my mixed surprise and elation when I saw your work. Please do continue to share.
I envy that kind of talent, the only thing I can do is write, in a half assed fashion. And it's sooo hard getting people to read things because it takes up more than a second of their time.
Anyhoo, before I go off into a whiny rant, I love it a lot. Please share more.

Re: Anime/Manga General Discussion, Rants & Rambling
I'm usually wary of female kits because of how slutty they can get so when I found Belldandy, I was quite happy. I like to keep my model display all ages because there are a lot of kids where I live that see my work. I also hope to one day have a family and I'd rather not own anything I would have to hide from kids. Ah My Goddess was a very well done series so when I saw the kit, I just had to attempt it. For my first time painting something that wasn't a mech or Warhammer figure, I'm pleased with the end result.
Writing can be difficult. When I get a chance I'll read some of your stuff.

Lol. Don't force yourself.
If I can't get people in a fic's respective fandom to read, I'm thinking I'm going really wrong somewhere.
My Transformers fic is the one I've had most success with, yet sadly it is the one I am least inclined to write because it's already been going on far too long and I've lost interest.

That's definitely the mecha I was talking about! Thanks to both of you.
How many episodes of that show were there? I only ever found the first few episodes subbed.

It depends because it could be one of two shows (i did more research
)
Super Robot Wars Original Generation: The Animation came out in 2005 is 3 OVA episodes that follows the 2 SRW:OG video games. These are the two games that have been released in english by Atlus games.
Following that in 2006, Super Robot Wars Original Generation: Divine Wars was released as a 25 episode series (with an additional OVA episode) that acted as a retelling of the first OG game.
The funny thing about all this,is that on Sunday I started playing Super Robot Wars: K for DS.

I think the one I watched was The Animation. On the wiki page for Divine Wars I don't see anything about Alt Eisen. I'll have to track it down

It's in both, the wiki doesn't state the mech but it does list Kyosuke Nanbu is a regular character and for the timeline of the games he should have the Alt Eisen in Divine Wars, and the Alt Eisen Riese in SRW:OA

Hell if you have a GBA or DS, look for the english released games aswell so you can get the full story.
Might be a bit hard seeing when they were released and that it wasn't put out in large quantities, but i've seen them on the used shelf at a couple EBs.

As would I for any of the SRW Games I've tried to play thru. SWRK is slow going for the start just because it is heavy on shows i haven't watched yet, so it takes time to clue into weapons.
That said I'm loving that they added Overman: King Gainer to the series.
shamless plug
Going back to the previous chat about Gundam, Anybody who enjoys Gundam should check out Overman: King Gainer.
Where G-Gundam tried to take the Gundam concept and change everything but the fact it used giant robots, Tomino looking to reimagine some of what he had tried to do with the original Gungam came up with Overman. In parts it is very similar to Gundam and yet it's completely different.
And in the largest departure for Tomino, He doesn't try to kill off almost the entire cast.
It looks quirky, and the opening credits doen't help it's credibility but it's a decent watch and Bandai put it out in a series box so you can buy the whole thing in one pop.
WATCH IT.

For all it's quircks, I still enjoyed G Gundam. It's like the Twilight books, the basic story and ideas are pretty good, but just needed a better execution. At least it was a whole lot better than that SD crap that aired on CN afterward.
I always wanted to play the game, but concentrating on 2 languages at a time gives me a headache. I wish we'd get the game in english
Also, I just ordered my next kit Tekka. I got the last one.

With Vash being one of my top favorites in anime characters, it seems fitting that he should be next.
Now if I could only find the Outlaw Star kits...

Shadowman thinks I'm right about something?
I wasn't comparing the stories becuase those are 2 different things. What I was comparing was that they both have the elements needed for a great story, but lacked people needed to make it a really good story.
