BALLS.
I don't know why I was thinking April 10th, and I've been looking forward to this for months. Serves me right for not paying attention.

Im glad that i brought a moment of joy. I like animes with a darker tone where u dont feel that its trying to be all dark and badass.
My only issue i feel that they almost kinda sorta cut parts out at random. Sometimes u see blood sometimes u dont. I wonder how much is cut out cause i sometimes events get confusing although i do understand that anime storys are fawked sometimes. There is one scene where a guy from the army base is informing the commander of the Space Knights and the army general shots him in the back of the head. All u see is the guy fall over real fast and the commander lifting up a a smoking gun with no blood. The gun smoking is weird 2 cuz its in the future and they use "lazors". But then again im usually loaded or smoking a doobie when i watch this show...dude lol

Well, I just finished Blood +. They kinda say Solomon died, but didn't actually show him crystallize and shatter. Are they hinting at him not being dead in the event they do a second series?
Does anyone know if they're planning on a 3rd season of Ah My Goddess?

They showed him die. It was in a dark alley after that fight. Amshel was there. Solomon was cut by Saya's sword and got covered in her blood.
EDIT: Are you sure you're not thinking of Nathan, who was never shown crystallizing, and was in fact shown to be alive?

No, I know Nathan is alive. The episode where Solomon is supposed to die does not actually show him die. Parts of him start to crystallize, but Amshel walks in as Solomon falls to his knees. It makes me suspect that the dying areas of his body were removed before he could actually die. I only brought this up because unlike the other Chevaliers, Solomon isn't seen shattering into pieces. I don't know how Nathan survived. My guess is that he goes beyond the control of Diva's blood. In fact, I have reason to believe that he is in fact Diva and Saya's father.

They would have to both remove the crystallized limbs while at the same time cauterizing his veins, because if they don't he's still going to end up getting contaminated blood in him. And the only items that could do that on the spot is a Lightsaber.

It's supposed to be implied that he was the chevalier to their mother.

Re: Anime/Manga General Discussion, Rants & Rambling
I was questioning Solomon's death, because it seems like one of those things that animators like to leave open for people to speculate until a second series is made. It's one of those instances where because you didn't actually see a confirmed kill, the writers can use it for something in the future. Like whether or not Lelouch in Code Geass is actually dead which I don't think he is.

The thing with the blood being there and then not being there, and the increased frame rate at certain things, and the sound suddenly being put on an odd loop while some animation plays is because of the weird thing that Anime Works decided to do when making the set.
They took the soundtrack for the Saban dub which was set to an already chopped up version of the animation, but completely got rid of all the footage. Then they took the footage from the japanese DVD set and re-cut it to match the audio from the Saban dub, and did a terrible terrible job of it... In order to replace some of the parts that were cut from the original they increased the frame rate in some places, and made small audio loops in others. (See Marlow's death for a good example.)
In my humble opinion however, I would have kept the original dub cut of the animation, it was a decent dub especially for something that came from Saban, especially in later episodes when they cut back on the super hero cheese dialogue.
I also dislike the fact that Anime Works tried to shoe horn the original OP and ED into the set rather than keeping the dub OP and ED. And they end up making too severe of a cut at the beginning and end of each episode, especially with their sudden "To be continued" insert. It's annoying for someone who is familiar with the original dub.
And worst of all, the TBC insert and the title graphical inserts are of shockingly low quality. Combining this with the badly recut animation... It's really not good. I was not happy with the Anime Works set at all, to the point I'd rather watch the chinese bootlegs because they actually did a better job of recutting the animation.
But the good thing is that because of you I'm going to go and watch the whole thing over again.

Escaflowne was good, (Swords and Sorcery Gundam? Sign me up!) but it would have been so much better if they let up on the romantic plot.
Also if Van's eyes could have stayed one color. Either it's an animation error or he likes changing colored contacts between scenes.

Nice job there, I especially love the fade to black at the end of the coat giving it that charred look. Seeing him with some tiny yellow specs would be phenomenal though.
Good job!
While I'm here, I thought I'd share my picks of this month's new shows, on the off chance you might get off your butts and watch some of them.
Cross Game
Eden of the East
Tears to Tiara
Valkyria Chronicles
Guin Saga
And I had completely forgotten how horrible it was to see what happened to Nina in Full Metal Alchemist. It all came back as soon as Roy took out the picture of Shou Tucker. Bastard.

I barely recognise three characters and i can only name Kaname Chidori from FMP from those three. I must try harder to be more otaku. Its a nice sig btw. Have you really been an otaku for 15 years Tekka? What started your addiction if you don't mind me asking?

Sorry about the clarity, but you know... The draconian sig rules around here...

It's all thanks to my SNES, and after school cartoons. I was started off in the early 90s with the basic kids stuff like Samuri Pizza Cats, you know the stuff we all grew up with. I moved on to things like Teknoman, and eventually made my break into actual anime with Tenchi Muyo, Guyver, A-ko. All the the stuff that Manga entertainment started off with in the UK.
When I got to see Tenchi and El Hazard that was probably when I started really getting into it.
I've been going on a real nostalgia trip lately... I thought I'd make an image song collection of all my favourite female characters for use in my car. I had to cut a few out because of CD size constraints but all my favourites are here more or less.
If anyone can name them all I'll mail you some cookies.
