I still need to figure how to make the shoulder joints, something similar to Armada Hoist would be great, but the space is very limited (As TFM could remember). Im thinking a simple balljoint (bionicle might work) can do the trick, but im not sure

The head is currently being casted, since its not gonna be Overload ;)

I'd be wary of the Bionicle joints for his shoulders.

They seem to be perfectly fine for supporting their own pieces, but enough weight will make them collapse.

I have had to put clear nail polish/top-coat on them for my articulated Leobreaker, otherwise, he can't support his own weight(mostly in beast mode), and it becomes nearly impossible to pose his legs, 'cause the shoulders and hips go wild on me.

They're great joints, mind, and way better than the Xevoz joints I used originally, but I just don't know what to do.

It may just be that I implanted the ball-posts in the liger body and the socket pieces in the arms and legs. Maybe they'd work better if I'd done them the other way?

wOOT! Found the perfect joints for the shoulders!

RiD Grimlock?s upper legs works excelent! Ill post pics later, although i was able to do only one arm, since the junker i got only came with one leg...

Anyway, its time to make a mold of the new hands :)

It looks promising, though I'd like to add that if you use Bionicle balljoint you might want to consider reinforcing them with those lego-technic cylinders(little lightgray ones found in nearly every technic box).
erh, you could also consider making it so that the arms can be moved a little bit more away from the body and remain retractable for the transformation so as to improve articulation.
A full how-to guide would be appreciated.

@Dark_lord_Prime: Just a thought, but if the joints are wobbly, consider buying one of those kitchen sponges with a rough green/grey pad on the bottom and cutting out a patch (including that rough pad's substance) to fit inside the body between joints and then paste it to the backside of the joints.
I got that tip from a friend who's busy making a MP Metroplex based off the How-to guide here.

I'd also like to see how you're doing this; I have (very sketchy) plans for my own Overload bash...

Actually, I have a couple of questions.

First, where do your joints come from? The elbows look they're from E-Inferno, but I'm not sure. And I've no idea where the others originate. I'm actually going to try and scratchbuild my own joints for mine, though.

Second, how did you manage to alter the hips like that? I actually just want to improve the articulation on the existing legs, rather than replacing the hips entirely, but I've got the crotch off, and I can't see any way of separating the legs from it! Any tips?

Sorry, i havent been able to make any progress, very busy with the wards at the hospital...

either way, for the legs, i used something very simple and easy to get: Armada Smokescreen, both balljoint and sockets are the perfect size and fits perfectly. First you need to remove completely the legs, cut the crotch so you can fit Smoke?s balljoints. Later, you need to cut the hips, just enough to glue smoke?s hips and keep everything in the same size to allo transformation

The main problem with Overload, is that everything needs to fit in the exact size to avoid problems during transformation

for the knees, i used some KO giant Gundam pieces wich i can hardly explain... however, after some thoughs, the RiD builders conection pieces could work just the same. First, you need to cut the knee pad from the knee connector. Basically, onces this is done, you get enough space to use the mentioned pieces to make the joint. Ill try later (but dont expect em soon...) to post clear pics of my mods to show the gundam joint and how could be made with other things

Now, for the shoulder, i found that RiD Grimlock crotch/hips works like a charm for both sides, you need to cut enough space inside the shoulder panel on the main body, to fit the hip socket. In the Upper arm, all you need to do is paste the hip balljoint from Grimlock (since is just a thin panel, no extra modification is needed)

Finally, for the elbows, at this point i used a combination of E Inferno?s, with bendy Prime knee joints cut and glued to the upper arm (i left the rotation intact from Prime)
