Yes I play my games on an LCD HDTV. What amount of money are you looking to spend and what size were you wanting?

I use my Acer 20 LCD HDTV/Monitor, but Muffin is right, look at what size you want, and from there go for price, mine on the other hand was dirt cheap, only 60 bucks, try to look for one that are clearence in stores, or go for the sales, those are my suggestions.

I play my 360 and Wii on a nice big 42" LCD HDTV. It definately makes a difference, but you need to invest in a component or HDMI cable for the best quality. And I would suggest waiting. The prices of HDTVs seem to be dropping. So the longer you wait, the better the price. I bought mine on Boxing Day. And while I felt it worth the money at first, I'm feeling slightly less and less so as time goes on. Making me wish I would have waited too.

Now if you are currently playing on a 32" tube TV, I say go out and buy a HDTV. And get a surge protected power bar. I just had a series of power surges a few days ago, and it happened while I was playing my 360. It gave me the dreaded red circle of death, but I restarted it and it was OK. I contribute that to my Monster Bar. So you're gonna wanna protect your expensive home theater.

Two things.

1. Don't waste your money on monster. UPS (not the shipping company) makes much better surge protectors for a quarter of the price.

2. Once again. Don't waste your money on monster. HDMI is a pure digital signal. Which means it doesn't matter who you get a cable from. Whether you pay $10 or $100 you'll get the same quality signal.

Thanks for the info. so far. I am looking at a 46 or 50 inch sony rear projection lcd hdtv. the 46 is probably best for my living room but the 50 is only $100 more.

Is 1080 realy worth getting or is 720p good enough?

thanks again.

If you're getting that large of a screen you might as well get one that supports 1080p. In the slightly longer run it'll be nice to have.

The only thing I have to add is that if you have any inkling of getting into one of the new high def disc formats, HD-DVD or Blueray, make sure the tv has HDCP.

I use my Wii and my PS2 on a HDTV and the Wii looks good, but the PS2 looks awful.

I have a Samsong 56" Rear Project DLP HDTV with 1080p. The 360 looks absolutely gorgeous on it, and I have the component cables and optical 5.1 SA. Lets just say that gaming has been a whole new level since I got this in December (even moved it downstairs to watch the Superbowl on it).

Im not a huge TV guy info guy but I did research the differences between LCD, Plasma and Projection. Each seems to have their perks and draw backs. The fact that Plasma TV's will eventually die and cant be revived (Projection the bulb can burn out but can be repelaced). The other thing that turned me off from Plama was the burn fact. I am kind of a news junkie and watch Fox news atleast 3 hours a day. Things like the news Tickers at the bottom of the screen can actually get burned into the Plasma TV. In the end I decided to just go with Rear project, sure it sucks that there is some picture fade when standing above or below the main level of the TV. Or to far elft and right....but the benefits outweighed those.

See it here.

If your getting projection, make sure ints DLP, it has no fade no matter how close you are, or where you stand or sit.

I'll be with the guy above me I'm expecting the 50 inch Samsung HLS5087W I'm getting mine from TVauthority.com for less then 1300 the Reviews have been been hit or miss so I'm a little scared but from what I've heard 1080p is the way to go there is a big difference from what I've heard.
