Anyone here ever work for Hasbro?
Hi,
I was looking for some feedback from a TF fan who has worked at Hasbro. They are recruiting on my campus next week and I was looking for some general info on your experience.
Thanks!

Why would a Hasbro-worker do on the boards?

Because it would seem that if you worked for Hasbro, you would be a fan of Transformers.
Just as someone who works for Sears would own a lot of Craftsman tools.
The fact that there are not many Hasbro workers posting on these boards explains a lot of the crazy, thoughtless things that keeps happening to the brand.

I had an interview there back in April. It seems like a good company. You are making materials aimed at childrean so a certain type of chracter works there.
I was in the interview for 4 hours!! Didn't get the job but that's ok, my alternative prospects at the time turned out much better.
They have a great facility and I would assume competitive benefits.
Providence is just down the road and has what most big cities have to offer, but Pawtucket (the city that the company is located in) was referred to as "the bucket" in gest by the employees I met.
I'd say check out the recruitment! I was there for a creative job, but I'm sure they have plenty of other types of jobs available to fit a number of skill sets.

TFormers.com's owner raised a stink and made a mess of things (according to TFW). Apparently he reported Archer/Orson to Hasbro and he was forced to stop.
He did it because "Orson" would only post on TFW and nowhere else from what I was told.
Bottom line, it was petty and pathetic.

Whatta jerk.
Let's report him for rape and see what happens then.

Yikes. Overkill? A false allegation of rape can destroy someone's life!
...
Let's do it!

Joking or not, that's pretty despicable guys. Seriously, that...wow.
It was the fault of everyone involved.
Hasbro: For being pricks about it and not watching their employees closer.
TFW: For taking the dangling carrot. (so to speak)
Aaron Archer/Orson: For putting his job on the line willingly and alienating other boards when he could've done one of two things:
1.) Never starting it to begin with.
2.) Giving tidbits to all, not just some. (If you're gonna share, do it big.)
TFormers.com: For being whiny pricks and boo hooing because they didn't get a piece of the pie. (Other boards missed out as well, and they didn't whine or complain about it.)
It was ridiculous and stupid all the way around.
Everyone involved is to blame, not just one person or entity, and threatening (even in a joking manner) to cry rape over something like this is disgusting.

Well, since we are so into their products, I am actually surprised that more people haven't thought of working there.
They're interviewing for summer internships at my MBA program and are doing a little recruiting on the side, mostly marketing related positions.
Would it be the most aesoem thing to be like the assistant marketing director for the TF line? Absolutely!
However, my current job is with a premier firm in the finance industry and is considered one of the best places to work in Boston. So, before I went any further, i was hoping to get some insight from someone who worked there, and was also a fan, as I could see such a venture for me dissolving into complete frustration due to my being a fan.

I'm questioning who the real prick is here.
Some people just can't handle jokes.

I'll never understand you people.
Besides, if you're gonna get someone screwed over because you're a whiney kid, you deserve nothing less.
Seriously, Tformers. Seriously.
