Just hope it doesn't head a bit further south.

After that 'little rainstorm' you had a while back, you'd have thought you'd have had enough by now...

I hope things are alright Burn. Please keep us posted.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

You'd think after the boxing day tsnuami a few years ago they'd know more.

They promised a better monitoring and warning system. But you know what? They hardly know anything.

Once again we've been saturated with unreliable information. One lot saying it's going to be bad, then suddenly it's only going to be 3 inches high and no threat at all.

For now they've called the warnings off. And yeah, after the cyclone last year we have had enough. Just like this year with their **** scare mongering with this year's round of cyclones.

I can't believe we live in a day and age of modern technology that they can't track such things better. The entire east coast of Australia was basically scared shitless because "there's a tsunami coming!" which as it turns out won't even be enough for someone to yell "surfs up!".

Now i'm going to have to do some friggin' work.

They did the same thing to us here on the US Gulf Coast after Katrina and Rita. They predicted the next year to be a monster year and the end of the world was nigh!

There was barely a puff out of the Gulf last year...

It is a risky thing, the "Cry Wolf" syndrome. One day it could backfire.

But glad the hear you're safe!

Crying wolf is one thing, but there's also a significant lack of information as well.

And that's what pisses me off the most. There have been times they've LOST cyclones. How do you lose something that big? Simple. Budget cutbacks which means a lot of the monitoring stations on the small islands off the coast were shut down creating a huge black spot.

Shouldn't complain about today though, we've NEVER had a tsunami so no one knows what's liable to happen. We have been told though that the Barrier Reef is suppose to shield us from such things but again, that's all theory. So it's probably best for the scaremongering tactics and have us literally all heading for the hills.
