I want to know if anyone can tell me why a certain few Transformers have their faction before their name on their toys. ie: Autobot Jazz, Deception Brawl

I think it has to do with copyrights on the names. They couldn't get they copyrights for Brawl or Jazz so they had to put the faction's names before the character's names.

For the most part.

There are names impossible to use under the current copyright and trademark laws like "Jazz" because its a type of music or "Ratchet" because its a tool.

So the prefix "Autobot" has to be placed infront of their names to be useable.
