Naruto....lol
Best show ever!!

Please that show takes 26 Tankoban to tell no story, and barely develop characters. In the same amount of Tankoban the whole of Dragonball Z is told.

That and he stole a lot of ideas and colours from DBZ :-x

It's Avatar, TMNT, Spongebob, Bleach, One Piece, Naruto.

Does any one think Sokka's sword will possibly effect fire benders? :-?

If the comet brings them to there strongest, and Sokka's sword is meteor (or comet) rock, is my favorite non-bender about to see how much 'the universe' hates him? :(

I doubt it. The comet gives them power because it's a giant superheated ball of gas and fire. It's not the actual stone that helps them, but the massive amount of heat to exudes. At least that is how I understood it.

that makes since muffin

though i wonder if the earth benders or the air benders are linked to any thing in particular? I doubt if toph gets stronger standing next to a bagermole

Also any thoughts on Toph learning there is iron in blood?

I think the lady benders are the masters in this series and while i'm all for empowerment i think it might take something away from the spunky blind bandit to learn this on her own.

Still the way the series is going i don't see how the writers could go wrong. The story and characters are just to good to miss!

I was just recently introduced to this show and I must say I am very impressed by it. It seems to be a well-crafted, intricate story, it's nicely animated and the voice acting is phenominal. I've only seen a few random episodes from Books 2 and 3 and I'm in the process of trying to find the best way to catch up. I also have to say that, from what little I've seen, Toph is awesome!

Toph doesn't bend the metal. Toph bends the bits of earth (the ore if you will) that is in the metal itself.

See the small bright "flakes" when she hits the metal? That is the earth pieces that were in the ore that made the metal.

Check out Turbo Nick. They have a good amount of Avatar episodes on the site, including all the recent Book 3 episodes.

Avatar is up to Episode 8 or 9 in the states.

I'm still catching up on Season 2, so I am very far behind.

Episode 8, "The Puppetmaster", aired this last Friday, Novemeber 9th. This Friday is the episode "Nightmares and Daydreams". There will be a break for Thanksgiving the week of the Nov 23rd. The episode(s) airing on Novemeber 30th will be Day of the Black Sun Part 1: The Invasion and Day of the Black Sun Part 2: The Eclipse.

That will pretty much do it for this year, 2007, for Avatar episodes in the States. Not sure when we will get the rest of Season 3 after that.

Ok, so, having seen up to episode 11 of Avatar. Not sure what episode is being shown on TV.

But one of the questions thats really been bugging me is.

Has Avatar been affected by the writers guild strike?

If it has it would be in the same boat as the Simpsons, where because it is animated overseas it would be either complete or near complete by about halfway through the Seasons run in the USA.

No it has not. Season 3 (Book 3) has already been completed and is just waiting on Nick to show the episodes. All 21 episodes!!! I bring that up because each previous season has only been 20 episodes. Not sure as to what the 21st episode will be but some are thinking it will be a rap up of the series involving Aang.
