I was impressed with him when I found out he cut 30 percent of his income to make sure that the film was made in the US with his own crew. I like that loyalty, that he wants to use his own people even if it comes out of his pocket directly.

No, not 'more' humans. He said not to make things bigger. So there won't be more humans, just the same people with the TFs guest starring again

Sounds like we're in for more humans, explosions, T&A, and not enough TFs, and zero character development for the Decepticons. Yippee.

You know, I didn't get that version of the movie, but I was curious....is his commentary pretty much 2 hours of fan bashing? Because that's what I can imagine it to be.Toyotus Superion wrote:Autobot032 wrote:Robinson wrote:E! It's not about upping it. It's about still keeping the heart.
Any new characters coming in?
Oh, yeah…a lot of fun stuff. I keep telling the writers, remember the heart and the magic, remember the heart and the magic. It's not about being bigger.
DreamWorks is targeting a June 26, 2009 release date for the follow-up.
See? He's not the ego driven monster that everyone has him pegged to be. It's a shame.
And I'm glad he said what he said...I think he finally gets it now.
Well, listening to the movie commentary, hes still ego driven. But I think he did right by us with the first movie and will do even better with the 2nd!

Lack of character development was also a problem in the first X-Men movie. The problem is that there are so many characters to develop, logically there isn't enough time to develop them. introduce them and give you a basic idea of their character in the first movie, further develop the storyline and characters in the second, and introduce Unicron and Primus in the third one. ANyone else think a CGI space battle between Primus and Unicron would be awesome?
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

Boy, some people sure do infer a lot of information from 3 little sentences that really don't say a whole lot.

Cool, nice to see Bay atually getting the feeling of the story and the characters, instead of just how many explosions or camera spazzing he has to have.

Ok, yeah you got a point. Maybe I'm just jumping the gun. The disappointment of all the bonus content on the DVD has got me all burnt up about Bay's handling of TFs.

Don't forget the pee and masturbation humor- or the breasts neither! Heck, how about a peeing robot who turns into an aircraft carrier full of breasts! And the 'splosions!

I agree...the extra features on the DVD were really lame. We'll just let them make it up to us in the second movie.
BTW I have money on a resurrected Jazz in the sequel, thanks to a slowly regenerating AllSpark..

New Transformers, aircraft carrier and that rumour about Devestator...thats definitely big.
As much as I would love a Devestator, I don't think it's going to be that name seeing the DVD kept Brawl as Devestator and now everyone that isn't into the toys or keeps tabs on what's going on in the interwebs will be like "Why the hell is this guy named Devestator, that was the tank in the first one."

Well, there was Cullen getting into the movie....oh & Megatron....lots of things happened with him due to complaining....he got a better head for starters....not to mention even though Frank Welker wasn't Megs in the movie, he's been Megs for pretty much all other movie-related stuff such as the game & the prequel video that came with the movie.First-Aid wrote:Nemesis Cyberplex wrote:What, you can't like a movie & still complain about it?General Magnus wrote:And the haters cried havok and let loose the dogs of complaining...

I'm not saying complaining is always good, but in a lot of cases if there's enough of an outcry, people that care will hear it & at least take it into consideration when making a decision to go with one idea or another.

That's true. Being able to see the positive and negative in both things we like and things we dislike is a good thing.
We do complain an awful lot, though!

Really? wow. That might be worth getting someday then. I ended up getting the version that had the prequel movie, & it only came with the standard version. Does anybody know if the commentary is on the HD-DVD version?Toyotus Superion wrote:Nemesis Cyberplex wrote:You know, I didn't get that version of the movie, but I was curious....is his commentary pretty much 2 hours of fan bashing?
