Re: Bot Con Energon Spears?
I have bo idea what they're worth, but I wouldn't mind acquiring them if you want to sell.
One of the things I've discovered over the years is that ebay is the end all to know a figures price. If it isn't selling on ebay then it is clearly worth less money.
You also have to factor in other things when selling it. Like:
1. How much use has it had?
2. Is the packaging still there? (Yes, polybags count in my opinion)
3. Any damage?
4. What's the current market situation?
There's a lt more to keep in mind, but that's usually my initial assessment when I buy figures that are not from a store.

Not true when it comes to exclusives. BotCon Dreadwind.. Not on Ebay but it's probably the most expensive piece in the 2007 BotCon set. Linkage DVD Microns... they're not on Ebay because the people who have them are hardcore mini-con collectors...

Re: Bot Con Energon Spears?
Sorry Blurrz, but I'm going to have to argue that. If Dreadwind is so valuable, then why is he not selling on ebay for his supposed value?
If I remember right, I just saw a 2007 boxset sell for about $500 on ebay. That's about a $400 drop from 2 years ago. The economy has made collecting go on the backburner. Even some of the more expensive Alternators are going for significantly less than when I left 18 months ago. The fact that there is an influx of rare Botcon stuff on ebay is also leading me to the opinion that the economy has made collection take a backseat to eating. When Botcon 2006 Darksyde Megatron is not selling for his normal price and there's 3+ of them on ebay them that's a red flag that the values we've come to know have changed.
I will agree though about CP. He's your man for pricing.

You can ask about $20+ per spear.
BBTS sells them for $40 a piece and they sell. But I see them at BotCon on occasion for $5 a piece. They were rare after the convention and a few years ago a lot of them popped up again. That well seems to have dried up and they are worth a bit more now a days.
I think I have four to six sets of the blue and purple ones. Most I paid was $40 for a pair, but I got most of them for under $15 a set. I got lucky though.
