Surely you knew it was too good to be true?
I didnt expect it to come out BEFORE the states, it did expect it to come out at the same time though.
And we have had non BBC movies come out over here before you guys. Its rare but it has happened.
Jane Austen movies don't count!
They count as a blessing, though. Period dramas are about the only thing the BBC can do right, and even then they mess up sometimes.
It's only just that we get this on July 4th, I say.

If we get it later, we get it later, big deal!
But do you really have to be major a-holes?
I date an American girl and I know she prefers it more here than over there.
We're joking. Sheesh.
HotRod_G1 wrote:no intent to flame you with that, but a joke is funny once, when there is more than one of you posting it numerous times and for no other reason but to be mean, that kinda lives up to the stereotypical American persona that thinks they are better than everyone.
So no offence meant by my comments, but if you really are joking give it a break.

Yeah but on the downside you have to suffer living in America to to see it just a couple of weeks before other people in the eastern hemisphere, a.k.a the "free world"(:P)...no movie is worth that kind of physical and mental torture! Not even TF's!
I don't see a downside![]()
In all fairness the movie was made in our country and we don't even get it first. Damn aussies, we need to put our differences aside and target them

Ironically in this particular instance illegally downloading this movie seems like the right thing to do. It would certainly sit better with my conscience not to be lining the pockets of Bay and co. and in doing so proving to them that regardless of all the bitching and moaning the fans will go see the movie anyway because they just cant help themselves or allow them to think that by getting my £6 I am condoning/approving their total disregard for the source material. If by some miracle I'm wrong about this movie and after watching my illegally downloaded copy I actually end up liking it, I'll happily eat all my words and go pay full ticket price to see the movie at the cinema. So really I'd like to thank Paramount for giving UK fans like myself the option to try before they buy, IMO its the first good decision they have made about this movie.
