Chinese man builds Transformer.

Postby -Barricade- » Wed Oct 10, 2007 11:57 pm

This was in Yahoo news tonight...

According to our gadget-obsessed brothers, a man in China spent $8,000 to build his very own Transformer out of a Citroen. We feel like we've seen this before -- again and and again. All we're hoping is it's lead-free. One more pic after the jump.

How difficult is the transformation? How's the articulation? Hey, I think he has die-cast! :P

It's a pretty cool sculpture. Clearly such a thing couldn't be built to transform in practice, though I'd be impressed with using an Alternator configuration so that it could do so in design. He's clearly worked hard and spent a lot of money on this, so I'm glad it got the news coverage so that we could see it.

guess I was wrong. At that size, I'd be very surprised if it transforms.

It looks like it's based more on the movie Bumblebee's robot mode. Look at the lower torso and knee/legs.
