by classic im guessing you mean from the classics line? hes fairly similar to the g1 version anyway..
looking at their tech specs they both have boosted stats if you compare it with the g1 version. but that said, their nearly identical. tech specs arnt the best thing to go by, but neither of them had alot of appearances to show us how they measure up.
classics bumblebee is a slightly boosted g1 bumblebee, but in the movie he was a different transformer. his strength, while not great, was enough to fight barricade head to head for at least a short amount of time, and during the glimpse of the fight we got bumblebee showed alot of combat skill. in g1 he was beaten by ravage, and physically he wasnt much of a threat to anyone other than maybe the cassettes. he wasnt much of a fighter at all.
i guess if you look at it another way, movie bumblebee is a better design. he flows alot more, he has a much wider range of motion, hes fast, agile and hes graceful. most of the g1 transformers, which are similar to the classics are alot blockier, none of them really showed any athleticism (except maybe jazz, or prowl on one occasion). i used to think that the g1 transformers would have a durability advantage over the movie transformers, but im not so sure these days. after reading furmans movie guide it seems they are highly durable, and its only their external armor thats really vulnerable. and that heals very quickly, unless its dealing with 5000 degree heat.
i say movie bumblebee takes this.
