Now, maybe it was a fever dream, but I coulda swore I've seen some pre-Transformers Protectobots. They must have existed at some point as prototypes. Where else does a red Hotspot come from... I know, G2, but... why do I have this image in my head of an old timey Defensor in red?

I feel it's totally for real possible. It sounds right and good. I just don't have retreavible access to it in my own central data core. This KO in these colors has been around forever though. I remember seeing it in Chinatown, Chicago in the 80's.

I wasn't planning on getting Big Convoy, but holy tanuki nuts, Black Big Convoy looks wicked cool, Cobo!! I've always wanted Black Convoy, but I'd possibly go Big Black instead.

DUDE! This mold is RAD! With a capital RAD!
So look, the mammoth mode is a brick. An awesomely sculpted brickaphant, I might add.
But, he's A GIANT WOOLLY MAMMOTH!
So that's good enough. And he has a killer slashing tusk and opposable trunk gimmick.

But inside that brick is one of the best Optimus Prime figures OAT! His head is amazing. With flip out horn wings. Articulation is good. Opening chest with removable/holdable Matrix. Flip out cop batons. His gun IS cumbersome, but the figure is the tanuki nuts!

The give is, you gotta deal with the fact that, wherever Big C brings it. He brings it cool. I mean ICE COLD!
SO! He's always rockin' his wooly mammoth fur pimp coat. With giant tusk shoulder pads!
Deal witdit! He does.

He's a kibble fest. But. He wears it well, and he can support it all.

If you can find one. Get one! I promise YOU, would like him.
I found him in an import shop in L.A. ****! 20 years ago? 18? 8-}

I payed a normal premium for him then. I fear he pulls a pretty penny.
But the mold is AMAZING, and all the decos I've seen are sweet.

I mean look at Ultra Mammoth! He's peacockin'!

I gotta say, Big Black is undoubtedly Big Pimpin' in all his kibble and woolly glory, Cobo! Being back in black may help tie it all together to make him look even more imposing.

That Big Cannon is REALLY BIG lol -- but seriously, he really does carry it all well.

Ultra Mammoth looks sharp, too -- but Big Black can act the part of smooth criminal: Nemesis Prime, like the Universe incarnation....

FYI - the Sono King Korean release of Big Convoy can still be found NIB for a reasonable price. He comes in the traditional brown mammoth deco, but robot mode deco is exquisitely Primey.

The blood on the tusks is really cool, as well as the other, different paint apps....but you can resist CARY (not Cobo Kai!)!

Cram's $80 deal would've been good, but since BW is still not climbing in popularity, there's still a chance to get it for less than $100 (loose), right?
