Could Teletran possibly end up in Transformers Movie Sequel?
I was thinking that the Autobots would maybe need a secret base in Transformers 2, and if so, would they build a Teletran One? Would they make an underground hide out that only Sam could get to? A staple of Every transformers series is a fine tuned base of some sorts, with wondrous tech for the bots to do repairs and monitor Decepticon Activity...So is it just possible we may see a base for the Autobots in the future??
What if some of the Decepticons in the movie survive, SS ends up leading them, and they need a Decepticon Hideout.. that would be cool too..I mean they need a safe haven from the Governments trying to find thm, and they need a place to chill out, in Bot form..hiding in car form all the time seems kinda boring to me...
Maybe a holographic base front that looks like rock, like in the STNG Episode where Picard and co.. visit a planet and there's a monitoring station across from the town, whose hologram cloak disappears suddenly due to machine malfunctions..
Do you guys think that the possibility is likely, or are these movies gonna pretty much be Transformers on the run?? Which gets old after awhile...like Nascar, around and around we go, where we stop, everyone knows.. Yawn... Boring!!!

Bay and Co reasoned that they should ditch The Ark as "If you can transform into a space ship, why need a shuttle?". Knowing our luck, they'd probably reason now that "If you have on-board computers, why need a base?".
The thing is, the Transformers don't NEED a base, in reality. They just go around, park in a field and snooze or something. Yes it would be very dull, but within the fiction, a base would be unnecessary. They can communicate through an inbuilt network (most likely). And we know already they scan their vehicle modes without the help of an external unit. They have everything built in. What else could they need that they couldn't have built in?
So. Teletraan. Dead? I think not.
Beast Machines introduced a global network on Cybertron that would allow Transformers to access information from any information point. I think a similar system could be implemented on the new Cybertron (there has to be an information network on that ball of rock) that perhaps the new Transformers interface with from across the galaxy on our planet. Prime or Bumblebee tapping into the network from their remote position. This network could be referred to as Teletraan. It's not impossible, and I would rather like the idea, except that with Cybertron now being entirely dead, it's difficult to see happening.

Or maybe Earth becomes the new Cybertron for them, as seeing what happened to the old one and they having nowhere to go..
The Internet might become the new Teletraan
I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to set up shop here on Earth, they would become Cybertronian-Americans or something

Since both the Ark and the Nemesis appear in the prequel novel, I’d like to see them worked into the next movie. That way, both the Bots and the Cons can have a base, without worrying about being discovered.

How would they construct a secret base? It's hard to imagine, given that they seem to go public in the trailer, that they'd be able to construct something without either the humans knowing its location or without the Decepticons attacking it mid-construction.

I always thought it iconic that the Decepticons would rise up out of the ocean.
So long as the Decepticons have an underwater base at the bottom of the ocean, the Autobots could hang out at Starbucks for all I care.

Especially also to the humans it might look suspicious if they tried to make a secret base, as if the Autobots didn't trust humans still or they had a secret agenda. I think it will be the Decepticons making the secret base instead, while the Autobots will be open and friendly.Leonardo wrote:How would they construct a secret base? Well, according to Ghosts of Yesterday, both the Autobots and Decepticons had interstellar spacecraft to get along, The Ark and The Nemesis.
As I argued in another forum, the protoform cometary mode cant be for interstellar travel, or why would Megatron be a Jet then. So there must be a ship, and Ark and Nemesis.
Maybe there in a temporary orbit around Earth.
Bottomline, if theres a 2, theres a Teletran-like base.

Interesting point you made, so What if, and I'm giving this a big what if... the Nemesis and the Ark, were somehow damaged out in the outer reaches of the solar system, so everyone abandons ship, then the ships float on and fell to earth, one in the ocean, and one in the desert.. both have yet to be discovered, during the millennium after Megatron's landing.. then fast forward to the autobots who abandoned ship are roaming aimlessly following the Ark's signal, and SS and the decepticons are doing the same.. then they go to earth.. unless ofcourse its a signal from the allspark that guides them to Earth.. but something lead them here, other wise they would have fallen on tons of planets throughout space looking for the allspark..
either way that would open the door ofr a teletran one..
But I was thinkng what if they made a Teletran out fo earth electronics and a makeshift base like an abandoned military bunker underground?? that would be cool.. and then you could still have the Nemesis in the Ocean..

Unfortunately, I dont think Bay and the writers are that creative. If it wasnt for all of us bitching up a storm about how bad he was making the film, he probably would have based it off of the Cybertron series with hints of Japanese Gundam.
The question you raise is WHAT BRINGS THE BOTS TO EARTH? That is the question my friend. Is it the signal of the Allspark? Is it Megatron? Is it tied in with Ghosts of Yesterday and they came to Earth due to a handful of humans?
The book was great, but Im willing to bet the movie doesnt even refer to it in anyway.
Nemesis in the ocean would be pretty cool though.

Well, I'm not so sure about Teletraan, but The Nemesis, named after their old cruiser, of course, could be a battleship the Decepticons build under the ocean in TF2, which the autobots have to destroy to keep humanity safe.

thats a ridiculous assesment...bay hasnt listened to any of the fan complaints at all..accept maybe having cullen voice prime...and adding the g1 transform sound into the trailer...other than that everythign you've seen on these trailers is his idea...and its fantastic
/also wants the nemesis to be underwater

I can't spoil it for you, but yes, there *IS* a reason the Autobots come to Earth. It'll be all laid out in the film.
Since the Autobots are now public (according to the trailers, etc) I wouldn't doubt that the Government would give them a place to call home.
It's a little price to pay to say thank you for keep ing us from being eradicated.

Well in a revision to my earlier fantasy... I was thinking that if there was an Ark or a Nemesis, it would explain the comet protoforms much better.. as in their ships the Ark and the Nemesis were on their way seeking the signal from earth, both on auto pilot.. until....
Both ships are caught in a meteor shower in the asteroid belt that surrounds part of our solar system....which decimates both of the ships and the onboard computers jettison the bots into space in comet mode/escape pod format, where they free float for awhile till they realize the signal is from Earth and they use their onboard thrusters to angle themselves into position and fall to the planet..
Bumblebee ofcourse falls to mars first..but is able to leave via a one time use rocket pack that hurls him into space...and towards Earth..
In the sequel, the remains of the ark fall to earth as a comet... and Teletran one is uncovered, via a signal that only the autobots can sense..meanwhile decepticon treachery and spies learn of the landing and attempt to make their way to the site.. which sets Prime and the decepticons in a race to reach the wreakage before the Earth governments or anyone else can access Teletran... because teletran could override all of Earths computers like sky net in Terminator 3 and Megatron, Starscream, or Galvatron...or what ever... could conquer the worlds weaponry and use it to eradicate the humans and autobots...
this I believe would give Teletran One relevence in the sequel and could be used as a plot point, versus just a satellite monitoring thing..and it does the same thing the first one does.. set up a goal for defense of humans, adn its because of their war coming to us.. like the movie's premise..
What do you think about that!?????
Damn i'm good... i should write the sequel for the movie...LOL

Alaska sounds like a good place. Pretty remote, and it would give the Cons the change to steal energy via the pipeline.
