I'm a third of the way through G1's third season at the moment, and I've only ever seen a couple of these episodes before so most of this stuff is new to me (watched Dark Awakening yesterday, which has to be the best of the entire series so far).

Anyway. Isn't Cyclonus's voice just fantastic? Throaty, and sinister, with this kind of bored tone as though nothing can faze him. He's fast becoming my favourite character of the season.

Yeah, it's awesome. It's a shame though that Roger Carmel passed away right at the end of 1986.

Primitives is a good ep, but Dark Awakening is just better. In terms of story. In terms of animation, nothing beats Primitives. I sometimes watch that ep just to watch the opening fight.

I agree. Cyclonus has a fantastic voice. Jack Angel tried, and did a passable job in the final 5 eps of G1, but was nothing compared to Roger's.

I'll have to bust out the dvd set and watch that episode.

I always enjoyed his role in "The Killing Jar" not the best episode, but a good day for Cyclonus fans none-the-less.
