Decepticon Traitor in AOE?

What do you think about idea of introducing equivalent of G1's Starscream in Movieverse and create a Decepticon "traitor" in AOE? Considering how popular was fan interpretation about Starscream true goals, i think it couldbe good for the movie storyline. The problem is, we are not sure who will be The Leader of Decepticons in AoE, but even without Megatron, there still is place for new leader backstabing viper, right?

There already is a Decepticon traitor in AOE. Drift is an ex-Decepticon like his IDW G1 counterpart.

Besides, you can't replace Starscream as the ambitious usurper. It would be like replacing Optimus Prime with another Autobot leader No, wait, that's already been done... replacing Bumblebee as the yellow kid-appeal character Dammit, that's been done too...
...uh, I got nothing. Just know that Starscream can't be replaced.

Scourge took the role of "ambitious usurper" in the RID cartoon.Mindmaster wrote:Besides, you can't replace Starscream as the ambitious usurper. As did Terrorsaur in Beast Wars.
And Tankor-Rhinox in Beast Machines.
And Shockblast in Energon (in which Starscream was loyal).

To be fair, though, the first three of those four lacked a Starscream as part of their main cast, so they did have that excuse.Mindmaster wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Scourge took the role of "ambitious usurper" in the RID cartoon.Mindmaster wrote:Besides, you can't replace Starscream as the ambitious usurper. Though, also forgot to mention Megastorm of Beast Wars II, despite that show also having a Starscream in its cast.

Eh...I don't know. It's been done as many times as Prime and Megatron have died and resurrected, so I really don't care either way. We've already had an Autobot traitor, and we had two Decepticon defectors in ROTF (but only one defected during the film itself) and we'll have one defector in AoE as well (but it's likely he will have joined the Autobots in events prior to the movie).
Also, I think it's pretty safe to assume who the leader of the Decepticons will be. But whether he will already be the leader at the beginning or someone will temporarily be in his place until he returns is unknown.
Please note: If you think I may be joking, I probably am.

My opinion couldn't be more different. For Me Starscream-traitor was overplayed, and after Cybertron and Animated it's really hard to create an interesting traitorus Starscream (In Prime he was dynamic character, and that is why he was so good.)Mindmaster wrote:Besides, you can't replace Starscream as the ambitious usurper. It's debatable could Sentinel betray Autobots since he technically was an Autobot Leader. We've already had an Autobot traitor

He didn't have to switch sides and become a full Decepticon to still betray the Autobots.TurboMMaster wrote:It's debatable could Sentinel betray Autobots since he technically was an Autobot Leader. We've already had an Autobot traitor
He betrayed all that he originally stood for and believed in as a Prime, all that was symbolic to the very nature of being an Autobot: That all life is sacred and should be preserved at all costs.
In essence, he betrayed his own teachings, ideals, and ethical standards.
It's like if George Washington, after serving his term as President, suddenly plotted to attack other nations on behalf of the United States, in hopes to expand the U.S. territory by conquest, believing it to be a glorious and just cause, when such methods would be the exact opposite of all that he accomplished to help make the U.S. what it had become, and would turn Washington into a hypocrite and traitor to all that he had stood for.

So it's possible for an Autobot to form an alliance with the arch enemy of his own faction (and in secret) so he could throw away everything the Autobots believed in and still not betray them? Yeah, I don't think so.

What's hilarious is the fact this was the DLC story for Assassin's Creed III.
