I'm worried. I'm 24 years old, and still don't know what job I want to do. What do I do?

Get a job. Most people don't get the job they want, they just get a job because it's needed.

Get a job you can do. Get money. Get work experience. Figure out what you actually want to do while doing that.

If you leave sitting around now without a job, then when you try to get one in future, people will be wondering what happened in this gap of no work. And you'll hurt yourself in the long run. Working now, regardless of if it's something you want or not, shows future employers that you at least are pro-active and don't just sit on your arse all day.

I'm pretty much in the same spot. I know what I want my career to be, but in the mean time, I need something else. I don't want to do customer service because I hate people, and I can't even fake being nice to people. But those are the only places I can find around here. I had a job at a movie theater a few years ago, but it physically hurt me to have to act like I cared about any of the customers. I want an online job, but can never find one.

Yes. Getting "the job you want" is a secondary consideration well behind "getting a job that pays the bills".

One of the hard truths of life is that not everybody will get to do what they love, or even want to do, and that really isn't that important anyway. What is important, is making sure you aren't a bum.

Getting a job you can do and can tolerate are first priority. Once you build up references and try different things you will be on your way to a career.
