So last week I found a pretty cool auction on ebay. It was eight G1 Mini Transformers, Ultra Magnus cab and a vintage carrying case. I was game so I bid about 45 bucks and won! The seller shipped them to me, I got them, and started transforming them right away at my kitchen table. Luckily my wife was at work.
Then I flipped up Bumblebee's head, and it was a resculpted Reissue Bumblebee face looking at me. A quick Google search proved that I had been sold reissued TFs in place of authentic G1 bots (except for Seaspray and Cosmos).
The buyer advertised his 7 day return policy, which I would use if necessary. I contacted him and told him what I found. He confirmed my suspicions and then blamed me for not asking! I told him he was responsible for all information to his listing and being at fault for not fully disclosing what he was selling. I asked him what he thought about issueing a partial refund to make things fair and he started childishly calling me names on my feedback page!
Long story short, I opened a case with ebay, explained what happened, and they decided that I was due a full refund. He bitterly and continually yelled throughout the entire process until he couldn't do any more. Twice I had to have his feedback removed from my profile.
Anyhoo, things worked out. I returned the bots and just today found another auction for authentic 12 mini bots and paid ten dollars less!

woohoo!
anyone else have ebay horror stories like that? I wonder if anyone else has had someone passing off reissued TFs as originals.
