I like your sig it made me laugh. "And one shall have huge guns."Sherade wrote:I know how you feel.
All things considered, the Prowl/Autobot logo has striking resemblance, but the mouth messes it up. Makes no sense why it matches prowl so closely. When I was younger, I attempted drawing the "creators" of the factions with faces like the synbols, before I knew about Primus, Unicron, etc. Maybe I was on to something with the creator idea. Go figure.
It's the logo of the old pre-skool My First Transformers and 1-2-3 Transformers line.Uncrazzimatic wrote::123TF: <- THAT'S meant to be a 'con symbol? Seriously? What is it a subgroup called the Chubbycons?

I wasn't talking about a G2 cartoon! The symbol is G2, period. Be it for the comic books or the toyline. There was never a real G2 Cartoon show. So I see little point in bringing that up.Saber Prime wrote: :BOT2: G2 Autobot (Comic version not the G2 Cartoon series that was just G1 with anoying CGI)
Again, not talking about the cartoons. First there was My First Transformers Pre-Skool toys. That had that logo. Then came 1-2-3 Transformers, which should have the same logo,... but I believe most of those toys didn't have any symbols. Then came Go-Bots Transformers. These were the lastest Pre-skool Transformers toys, that wore the latter insignia. There actually does exist a Go-Bots Transformers show that features these Pre-skool toys. It has NOTHING to do with Challenge of the Go-Bots. In other words, First My First Transformers, then 1-2-3 Transformers and then Go-Bot Transformers were released in that order as Pre-Skool TOYS.Saber Prime wrote:My First Transformers / 1-2-3 Transformers
Go-Bots Transformers (The "My First Transformers" are called Go-Bots or were you refering to the old cartoon Go-Bots that aired around the same time as G1?)
The Wreckers are a special missions commando team from the UK Marvel Comics, that included Springer, Broadside, Sandstorm, Twin Twist, Top Spin and several other characters that were not featured much or at all in the US run of Marvel Comics. Their logo was slightly altered from regular Autobots.Saber Prime wrote:Wreckers Autobot (I have no idea what Wreckers are but some times in RID from far away the Autobot symbol would look like that.)
The hub is from a story written by Simon Furman several years ago for one of the UK Conventions, that continued the story where issue #12 of Generation two had ended. The hub are a inter connected race of Decepticon Transformers from the future that tried to take control over Cybertron, after they had destroyed the Cybertron from their own time. Since alot of details from Furman's Transformers comic bible (like the story of the Elite 13) was used in this series of short stories, they are viewed as being official stories, beyond G2.Saber Prime wrote:TransTech Decepticon / The Hub (What's The Hub?)
In the original Japanese series of RiD, Carrobots, this logo was used for the Renegades. When the series was translated to the US market, Hasbro didn't want to waste time and money with the legal ends of re-claiming the G2 Autobot logo (since the Renegade logo is G2 Autobot upside down) That was owned by Hasbro UK, so they changed it to the regular G1 Decepticon logo and named these Characters Decepticons. If you watch the cartoon, you can still see the Decepticons wearing the Renegade logo's and not the Decepticon ones.Saber Prime wrote:RiD Renegade / Decepticon (Where did this information come from? The RID Decepticons use the same logo as G1)
Death's Head is the Bounty Hunter Character that plays a rather big part in the Time Wars saga of the UK Marvel Comics.Saber Prime wrote:Death's Head (What the heck is Death's Head?)
Yeah, but that was just used in the cartoons, without it having any extra real meaning.Saber Prime wrote:And now that I'm thinking about it isn't there allso another variation of the Decepticon symbol that has 3 points in the center piece insted of just 2? It's not listed with the rest of them but I belive I saw it with someone refering to it as "the 3 pronged Decepticon" or something to that effect.

The story was written long before Beast Wars. When fanfictions started to appear about it, they started to use the TT faction symbol. The fans simply accepted this.Saber Prime wrote:1. I wander, considering Transtech would have followed Beast Machines story line and the Transtech Decepticons use that same logo and you did say they were from the Future in that comic book. All this considered isn't it possible that if the Transtech series had actully been made that the events of the series would eventually lead up to the Decepticons traveling to the past and then get an cartoon version of that comic?Time travel makes head hurt.
Look closely. Scourge has the insignia on his shoulder and Ruination on his chest.Saber Prime wrote:2. I just realized there was another Go-Bot refrence there. Wasn't the bad guys on the old cartoon series Go-Bots called the Renegades?
And about that symbol appearing in RID. I just recently watched that entire series and never saw that symbol anywhere. I did however see on a close up of Galvatron in the cartoon series the Predacon symbol in his chest jewel thing is a Decepticon symbol. He allso mentions when he first becomes Galvatron that he is "Now a Decepticon" I never really understood how RID Megatron went from Predacon to Decepticon and gained 4 new modes just by changing his colors.
The Toy of Galvatron still has Predacon symbols on it but the box he comes in allso shows him as a Decepticon.
There are several differences in the series between RID and Car Robots and this is just one of them I guess. That logo never appears anywhere in the American series RID or if it did I never noticed it. (I least I can say I'm one of few people that actully noticed Galvatron is a Decepticon in RID)
I know of scourge, but I thought only thr japanese ruination had it on his chest (the toy)Raymond T. wrote:The story was written long before Beast Wars. The toys yes. But the animation it self of the series was never altered.Head Shot wrote:I know of scourge, but I thought only thr japanese ruination had it on his chest (the toy)

What are you talking about, 5mm post with a 2mm hole? You're making no sence.Ramrider wrote:Saber Prime wrote::MINI: Mini-Con

Look at one of those ports again. The actual post that does the connecting is, indeed, a simple 5mm post with a 2mm hole in it. But look at the base. It's a raised baveled square with hollowed corners.

It's the metric system, how most of the world does measurements. mm is milimeters.Saber Prime wrote:Warthog wrote:Saber, each of the corners of the diamond in the symbol is a 5mm post with a 2mm hole in it, connected by the straight sides. The Mini-Con "M" is inside that.
OK lets refraise the question. What the heck is #mm? I don't know what you're talking about.
