Anyway, as many of you may remember, I got tripped up in the back and ended up falling off. At that time, my ankel swelled up tremendously.
Unfortunately, I did not get to choose my doctor at the time either. The way it was told to me by my boss is that our company has a contract with a clinic called Concentra and that any injuries that happen at work are to be taken care of by them.
So I go to Concentra and they take X-rays, to make sure everything is alright.
The doctor told me it was just a sprain and should be good in 6 to 8 weeks. At that time, I felt I was misdiagnosed and that something worse was going on inside my ankel.
2 to 3 weeks after the first visit, I continued to complain that I felt like I was not getting any better. To ease my concerns, the doctor took a second X-ray.
Still, no conclusive evidence of anything according to the doctor. Mind you, he never showed me either X-rays to this point in time, I just took his word for it.
At week six, I continued to tell him that something else was wrong. He continued to maintain his original diagnosis of a sprain. But just to make sure, he referred me to a specialist, The Bone and Joint Clinic.
I should also note that Fedex has paid all fees in regards to Concentra, and because of the referal, they have paid the Bone and Joint Clinic as well.
So I go to Bone and Joint and they want to see the X-rays that Concentra took to avoid taking more. They asked me for them, I did not have any copies.
So the doctor examines my ankel. She was worried that something was definately wrong. So without the X-rays, she scheduled me to do an MRI (she was going to have me do one even with the X-rays).
So I did the MRI last week Monday. That was a fun hour and a half trying to lay as motionless as possible.

But of course, because of scheduling, and the time to develop the picture, I would have to wait a week to find the results out.
So I went in to Bone and Joint yesterday (Monday). The doctor brought up the MRI and it was as I feared, 2 fractures through my talus.
But it gets even better. Bone and Joint finally got the X-rays from Concentra, and the doctor hung the X-ray up on the light screen.
YOU COULD SEE THE DAMN FRACTURE ON THE X-RAY!!!!
Like I said, never once did the doctor at Concentra actually show me the X-ray, so this really pissed me off that it could be seen.
It would have been different had the X-ray not shown the fracture, but it did.
I am seriously contemplating a Malepractice lawsuit against Concentra.

It just felt like I was in a really low spot today, but thankfully I got this when I got home tonight.
