Scenario: two heavily infected covenant ships (complete with 1 gravemind) have crashed on sonic's planet (not the sonic x earth) and now they have a few dozen flood going around assimilating citizens.

what are the odds of sonic winning this?

ALL sonic characters means even the gods, so sonic. be more specific. Robotnik's PINGAS has more power than anything so, yeah.

The flood will go and assimilate everyone, creating BILLIONS of combat forms and Pure forms. Even a tiny infection form can kill a grown human.

Let's say they can: So what?

The flood will spread, turning citizens into combat forms, and those injured by the robots will become carrier forms, capable of exploding and creating more infection forms. I'm certain that if Metal sonic were to be grabbed out of the air by ohhh... 50, 100 combat forms they'd rip him to pieces. I'm sure it would take only a few pure forms to destroy 10 of robotnik's robots.

And with the gravemind directing all the flood they would all know where and when the robots are attacking. They also know everything the people they infect knows, so if tails were to be infected they could take them apart easily or even reprogram them.

why would metal sonic fight the bad guy. He would probably team up with them and kill sonic together.

Because. The flood have no need to team up with someone like Metal Sonic.

Once they've infected everyone, they'll destroy everyone else. This includes Metal Sonic.

The Flood is badass, the only way the Sonic guys have any chance to win this is
Super Sonic
Super Shadow
Super Silver (I'm guessing that guy can do that too)
Perfect Chaos (That thing that kinda lives in the Master Emerald)
And that Magma monster thing from the Latest Sonic the Hedgehog game
And Robotnic's robots would work together.

But as the first 4 all require all 7 chaos emeralds, and Robotnik's robots are pretty much crap, well bye by Sonic.

Clearly the Sonic creatures can survive the Flood. After all, we still have sonic hedgehogs around today, speeding across the fields and surprising various people and animals. Sonics got to the Ark early and survived. And won. Sonic bonics won.
