Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers is apparently still open for business, according to Google, and their website, with a coupon good 'til December 31st of this year.

I gravitate towards lagers and pilsners, but like lighter through the summer, and go heavy through the winter. Example. Labatts Blue tastes great to me during the summer, but during cooler months I like to go Sam Adams or microbrews like Great Lakes, Wooden shoe (local), or some others that our local Spirits store sells.
IPA's not so much. Like the choices from Sam Adams. Several Belgian wheats, whites. Hefeweizen's are good and different.
None of that Arrogant Bastard stuff though. Or Hoppus Maximus either. Not a hop head.
So, what's everyone drinking?

Anything Hard and anything that isnt beer. Beer always seemed like "the poor mans booze" to me. Ill take a white russian anyday. Or a Fat Tuesday with an extra shot of Everclear! For the uninitiated: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Everclear_(alcohol)

So them's fighting words!
And uh... only being drunk 4 times total in you're entire life? Uh... I wonder how that makes me look... it happens to me at least once a week. Surely I'm not alone in this? JP help me out!

Sam Adams Utopias has been packaged in a unique, collectible copper-finished brew kettle decanter
reminiscent of the brew kettles used by brewmasters for hundreds of years. You are about to experience the strongest beer ever brewed, with an alcohol content of 25% by volume. Beer enthusiasts have never enjoyed a beer like Sam Adams Utopias. When served at room temperature in a two-ounce serving, Sam Adams Utopias is an ideal after-dinner drink. Pour it into a wine glass or brandy snifter. Drinkers have long been familiar with light beers. I wanted to show them the opposite end of the beer spectrum. A beer that is strong, rich and dark. Some would say, the ultimate beer. A beer without carbonation, one to be savored slowly. By starting with some of the world's finest ingredients, including all four types of Noble hops, which give the beer its earthy, herbal taste. The hops also add a spicy note. Carmel, Vienna, Moravian and Bavarian smoked malts add a rich amber color. 750ml $150.00

Jesus Prime wrote:Really? Most vodkas here come in around the 35% mark, while the standard for whiskeys and brandies is 40%. And when I was in Italy a month ago, they were selling litre bottles of 90% alcohol (just labelled 'alcohol') for as little as thiry euro. Ouch.
Pontimax 01 wrote:I'd love to try it, but I don't believe it's even sold in Ohio. But I bet it knocks you square on your ass, it's 25% alcohol. That's a higher proof then vodka you buy at a grocery store in Ohio.

A former teammate of mine told me that mixing Bailey's with Guinness would yield an "Irish car bomb." To this very day, I still do not comprehend why.![]()
As for my alcoholic shenanigans, I started with San Miguel Pale Pilsen and Ginebra San Miguel, so far.
For future reference, I'll buy a bottle of Bailey's and a bottle of Johnny Walker. For the near future, I'll let some of my friends introduce me to other drinks.

Everything sold at grocery stores and other places here can be up to 40 proof. If you want the real stuff, you gotta hit a state store or a spirits store like the one in my town. You can get anything there of course.
Oh, and because we have stupid conservative views here still, we have "dry" areas still. Can't even buy beer in some townships.
