I finally bought a knock off version that's circulating the internet of the entire G.I.Joe animated series from the 80s and 90s on DVD. It should include all 140 (?) episodes. The set was supposed to be a 15 disk set ... however, the set that I received today only contains disks 2 through 15. I popped in disk 2 and it has the content of what should be on disk 1 (the first 5 part pilot called "The Mass Device"). I haven't had a chance to pop in the other 13 disks yet to figure out if I am indeed missing a disk or what.

Has anyone else bought this set yet? If so ... do you have 15 disks or 14 disks? I'd love to know what's wrong with my set without having to pop in all fourteen disks to figure out what is missing, especially since I'm not as familiar with the G.I.Joe cartoon series as I am the Transformers. I don't think I've seen an episode of G.I.Joe since the 80s when I used to watch Transformers after or before school.

Being a bootleg, it's probably down to shoddy manufacture. Or plain old spite and rip-you-off-ness. Either way, it should warn the rest of us not to be buying knock-off or bootleg material, if not for the illegal nature of it, for the poor quality of it. Fittingly enough for the content of the DVDs - now we know, and knowing is half the battle.

I think somebody else mentioned that set in the GI Joe 25th anniversary figure thread, I'm pretty sure it chuckdawg1999. I don't know if he actually got it or not.
