Who do you think would win in a "No holds Barred" fight to the finish. In the red corner you have Optimus Prime and in the blue corner you have Rodimus Prime.... FIGHT!

Didn't he already win this fight once in Return of Optimus Prime and come close as zombie!Prime in Dark Awakening?

Well in the "Return of Optimus Prime" Rodimus wasn't in his right mind because of the madness plague and he wasn't thinking clearly and in "Dark Awakenings" Optimus was pretty much zombie who was falling apart, even though he had a power boost from the Matrix, he still wasn't 100%.

This would be a fight with both parties at full fight capacity, and no handycaps to hinder the fight.

Optimus would win, Rodimus is rash, reckless and laced with self doubt.

Blackmoon, I'm from Iowa too! That's awesome.

Back on topic, I think Prime is probably a tougher opponent, but Rodimus would be more likely to fight dirty I think. It'd be an interesting battle, but probably a close one as well.

Born in Newton, currently live in Grinnell though I'm in Des Moines a few times every week. We're going today to the Fair, and a couple days ago I went to both TRUs to try and find MP Rodimus. Lucked out and found 1 at Southridge.

I Don't live very far away from the Southridge TRU.... I was going to go tomorrow and see if I could find 'ole Roddy but it seems you beat me to it.

Oh boy... this is actually tougher than it appears... I wanna give it to Optimus, not only because he's the better character (in my opinion), but also because he has more experience, is more intelligent, and a few other similar reasons. BUT, Galvatron was supposed to be more powerful than Megatron, and Rodimus was shown defeating him on more than one occasion (still, Galvatron's lack of sanity may have something to do with that), whereas (although we all know it really was Hotrod's fault that he finally succeeded) Megatron was nearly able to kill Optimus on his own. But like others have said, Rodimus lacks confidence, and Optimus did defeat him in the show (I don't think his mental condition would truly effect his fighting skills). In the end, I'm gonna say Optimus would win.

OP is a lot more experienced than RP. However, RP still has some experience and is very familiar with OP's methods. RP has some pretty big cannons in his trailer, so those might give him an early victory. OP's armour would probably hold long enough for him to destroy the cannons. Whoever has the Matrix should have an edge since it is bound to give the bearer some extra energy. It is god power.

Assuming both bots lose all care and pity, I'm guessing that RP wins because he's younger and less damaged by life. Of course, this kind of fight is extremely unlikely. The two Primes would be soul brothers in reality.
