Re: Generations Metroplex Sighted In Retail
Any sign of Metroplex happening the other side of the Atlantic,
After checking with my 'local' toy store
not on their system,
doubt it'll be in my stocking this holiday

I'll be waiting for the Boxing Day to get mine.
At 140$ + 15% taxes for the one that don't talk is a big nope for now.

Has anyone spotted Metroplex in New Jersey Costco stores? I'm late on trying to find him.

I finally ordered mine from BBTS. With the exchange rates and shipping fees, that ammount to just a bit over 162$CAN. The same price with taxes if I'd have bought it from TrU. At least, mine will TALK.
Let.s hope I will not be butt-raped by customs. It's expensive enough as it is.

Re: Generations Metroplex Sighted In Retail
Well, I got Metroplex for Christmas (a gift from my brothers). It's a great, no real complaints about it. But I am confused about one thing.
In the official product description (on TRU, Hasbro Toy Store, and Hasbro's web page) it boasts that Metroplex has a 'chomping jaw'. I have inspected the figure very closely, and the face (including the mouth and jaw) is one solid piece of plastic. I have gone over the thing from stem to stern, and in no way is there any switch, trigger, button or lever which makes the jaw 'chomp'. Nor is there any other part of the figure which might be construed to be a 'jaw'.
It would seem that this feature got nixed from the final product. But if so, that means Hasbro and it's retailers of choice would do wisely to update their official product feature lists for Metroplex. Otherwise - it's false advertising, and you can get SUED for that...

I'll just somewhat repeat what I said in the Toy Haul thread.
Of course, I got shafted by customs. So, my 110$ Metroplex that came from BBTS ended up costing me a bit over 190$CAN total. Sigh. Nevertheless, he's not mute like the Canadian version. Look at this glorious basterd!

No regrets in the slightest.
Also,
BBTS IS NOW OUT OF STOCK OF THE REGULAR AMERICAN METROPLEX.
I bought him just in time.

In addition to the lack of any other TF stuff following the holiday apocolypse, there is no sign of any Metroplex gracing the shelves at retail now. Will they ever return, or is Hasbro done producing them for good?

BBTS has the Takara version for $200 - not a terrible price. Also, they have the Hasbro version for $150 on preorder (less good).
But yea, Metroplex at brick & mortar retail has been dry for some time now.

Bummer.

For something so epic he was out at retail for way too little time.

Was browsing Hasbro Toy Shop, and it looks like they have Metroplex for $124.99 & free shipping:

Do we still need a sticky thread for Metroplex retail sightings? I think this can be retired now.
