Still don't know when Resolute's starting. When's Wave 14 coming out? I haven't even seen images of the figures yet.
The movie vehicle images that got out look really lame, except for the new Night Raven. It looks much smaller than the original Night Raven (single-man cockpit, no drone), but it still looks great.

We'll probably see them plus a few other waves at Toyfair this weekend. We did see some in-package pics of the battle damaged BAT though.
I really like the Scarab honestly. I can't wait to get two or three and load them up with some good old Headhunters.
The Night Raven looked okay, but then again I never liked the original that much anyway.
The small vehicles have looked really good to me. Though, two of the ones we've seen are just retools of classic vehicles.
The rest can keep all their gimmicks and lameness on a shelf and away from me though.

Sweet smeg, that 'Pit' playset is terrible-looking. The bastard child a U-Boat and an APC, it opens up into a few little platforms. DO NOT WANT.

Yeah, that thing looked like $100 worth of fail. It was like this mess of cylinders and such... really disappointing. I didn't think they could make something worse than my 92 HQ. So again, DO NOT WANT from me too.

What did you guys think of the GI JOE trailer? It sort of got me excited, but it went so fast, I'll have to look to see it again, on youtube or whatever.
If you find it post a link. I don't like football so I missed it. For $109.99 those better be some figures.
Entertainment Earth has some great pics of the first wave

I only collect BATs, so I'll have to pick up this one with the alternate head, and the new battle damaged one.
I want to pick up one from the Resolute Omega 5 pack, as it's all black and evil looking, but I don't want the other 4 figures, just like in the DVD pack. Curse you Hasbro!
Well here's my take on the hall of hero guys. This is based just on looks nothing else. This is going to be a long one so you may want to grab a beer or for you youngins a soda. I'm going in order of the pictures in the slide show.
Zartan- This is the figure we should've gotten in the first place. The ONLY Zartan. I like how on the card they drew his laser gun like CC's python pistol. Pissed that they couldn't do a holster or include some sort of body armor to go along with the masks. Yeah just put the hood on and we believe that you're Storm Shadow. At least he has a functional crotch.
Viper- Really? Really? For $109 they couldn't fix the arms on this guy? Waste of space.
Beachhead- Again this is the figure we should've gotten in the first place. This combines the single pack and comic pack accessories into one. I hope they fixed the holster from the Comic Pack one. It couldn't hold the gun well. Didn't he come with a .45 originally?
Crimson Guard- Broken record time. This is the figure we should've gotten first. He should've been in every and all CG packs. Thank God they lost that Springfield rifle.
Storm Shadow- Besides the 'chucks and grappling hook is there anything new here? They couldn't even give him the cool dragon headed katanas from the two pack.
BAT- I have no idea what that thing is he comes with but they look like the power crystals from Sigma 6. I hope the arms and head are fixed.
Snake Eyes with Timber- This is the version of SE 2.0 that people have been waiting for. What the DUCE? No sheath?
Snake Eyes black- How much blacker can this guy get. How many times has he been released. WASTE!
Flint- This is the figure we should've gotten in Wave 1. I like how they included a different shot-gun for him. Doesn't look like he'd be able to hold it though.
Firefly- Best version ever. All the accessories from his single card and from the comic pack. That sniper rifle is still bitchin!
All in all it's the version of the figures we've asked for for over two years. I'm shocked that there is no Duke or CC. By the by since these are coming in sealed boxes I went back to BBTS and ordered another case. Yay me.

I have to say the movie version of the pit really does look like crap there is way they can save that thing from shelf warmer status.

DISCLAIMER: I'm not hating on you chuck, I'm just saying what I think on top of what you've said. Please don't take offence, mate!
Damn straight. 'Nuff said.
Viper - Vipers own. The BAWWWING over the arms is pointless. They look great when the Vipers are doing what they have to do. The only thing they do: holding their gun. Love these guys. The chrome faceplate is great, not sure if this version has it, but it should.
Again, I agree with you. The holster of the CP version ain't so great, but man does that version owns. If it had a backpack, he'd be perfect. This HoH version looks perfect.
Crimson Guard - I dig the single-carded and the CP w/Springfield rifle versions. Both are fun. This one's nice, too.
Storm Shadow - No complaints here.
BAT - Those are the spores from their first appearance in the comics. Dr. Mindbender (again, fist appearance) was testing a new plant-life weapon. The spores were carried by the BATs and would grow and spread, neutralizing vehicles and stuff.
Snake Eyes with Timber - A sheath would be nice, but damn, he's lookin' good.
Snake Eyes black - Another chance to get the best version of V1 Snake-Eyes. Can't go wrong with that.
Flint - Screw the 5-pack. I'm getting this guy. Seriously this is how he should have been in the first place. The head looks kinda weird, though. The two shotguns are badass. Plus, the pump-action shotgun even as a sliding cocking mechanism!
Firefly - Best. Firefly. Ever. Even though I don't like the character, there is no denying the awesome of this version.
I'm surprised as hell but thankful as smeg that there were no Dukes or Cobra Commanders. Thought for sure they'd slip one or two in there!

*sniff* *sniff* After all we shared... just kidding. You can get the Vipers to hold their guns? Mine would hold them for like a sec then drop them. Can't do a two handed hold good. Dude that shotgun has a sliding cocking mech? I did not know that. Gonna have some real fun with that. I just hope there aren't any variants to the set.

Anyone who is looking for the greatest battles box set I found it at toy r us today. I really wasn't that impressed with it the only figure in that set that looked cool was the repaint of duke but other than that I could take it or leave it.

Last time I checked mine didn't have any of the newer DVD sets and I had to let them go from BBTS so I hope I can find them.

I saw it today too. I was just as un-impressed. I don't need another of any of those figs it full price.
But I was also fortunate enough to find the Resolute two-packs, and TF Mighty Muggs there too. So good deal.

Mine sucks as far as latest comic two packs are concerned but who knows in the next couple of weeks I might get lucky. So tigertracks what do you think of the resolute comic two packs are they worth picking up because I have read mixed reviews of these sets.

Here's the trick to it: it's hard to explain without photos, but I'll do what I can. The bicep are attached to the body via the disc thing that's in the shoulder, right? The disc thing is part of the shoulder's ratchet joint.
Move the bicep around. You will feel the ratchet-joint shoulder-disc clicking. Now, when the bicep's at its 'default' position, it's not close enough to the body. It can STILL move towards the body but one more ratchet click! It might be hard at first and require some force, though.
Move both biceps towards the body by one ratchet click of the shoulder discs. Now, position the elbows and the forearms and your Vipers will be able to hold their assault rifles just fine.
I had to mess around with them for an afternoon to figure this out, but I'm glad I did.

Too much movie crap. It's great that they've given us NAMES of upcoming Modern Eras, but pictures would be great, yes?

No gear though. I'm scared some of what we're seeing here could mean they are NOT releasing the tanks and comic-packs some of these figures were originally included with.
I also HATE that they're multi-packs. I'd buy ten Range Vipers individually, but now I might only get three as I have to buy them with a bunch of other figures.
That aside, both of these sets look AWESOME! The Range Viper is my favorite Viper so I look forward to getting some. The Lamprey was kind of lame though...
Toy Fair was boring this year. I'm starting to lose my enthusiasm for the movie junk. I'm now just interested in a few of the tanks for the most part.

Thanks for the pictures.
For the most part, those look like incomplete fan customs.
I'll grab a Mindbender if I can. I need Zap to finish my Original 13 and I dig that they made him his own backpack, but sweet Raptor Jesus, did they mess up the face. He looks like what Spirit should have looked like. Couldn't they have made him look like he did on the cover of GI Joe: Declassified?
Jeez. They didn't even have to make a new head, they could have recycled a v1 Hawk head, painted the hair black, and paint on a moustache.
Sorry for the RAGE, I'm just a big Original 13 fan, and a big fan of Zap. (bet ya never heard that before!)

I understand, as I too was disappointed with him. None of these look fantastic honestly. Just looked to me like they hashed together some random parts and called it whatever.
Oh well, at least I'm getting my Range Viper, and you and I get our Zap in some form.

Re: GI Joe Fans Unite-- 25th Anniversary Fig Talk and More!
What kind of destroyed my faith in the movie toys in general is what they did to zartan, and if you haven't seen the pictures yet then your going to be really disappointed. The one thing from the movie that I think looks cool is the night raven and now that I have had a chance to see more picture of it I can't wait to get my hands on it. Finally dr. mind bender I can't wait and he doesn't look half bad.

Finally opened my Resolute Comic Two-Packs. I was pretty impressed with all of the figures. The comics were decent too.
I wonder if HASBRO lost Shockwave rights again? After all, he is called Shockblast for some reason even though he is supposed to be Shockwave. Oh well.
The accessories are really good. Tunnel Rat simply needs his backpack with flashlights.
But I am still going to sound off on my hatred of these bendy hands, and how they cannot hold guns. Shockwave and Tunnel Rat both have this issue, big time. Another thing, Shockwave comes with only two small handguns, he should easily be caring his submachine gun as well.
Just a few small gripes. The Destro is pretty cool. The thing around his neck looks weird, but the rest is interesting.
Storm Shadow will probably make somebody a good Dice as a kitbash.
