well got recondo today, I have to say it is nice to see g.i.joe going green just like everyone else with recondo solar powered traps and back pack. The figure is pretty cool just like all the poc figures I have gotten so far I have to say qc on this is amazing.

I think the night vision telescoping goggles remind me of Night Viper along with the colors. I actually am not as thrilled with this figure as I was when I first saw the prototype shown. The helmet--it's too reminiscent of movie viperes---and bugs me, he has weirdly painted eyes, and the ball joints on his arms are interesting.

Recondo is better. If you strip him of all his armor, and his hat, and give him the machete from Zartan, than for us Losties, he makes a serviceable John Locke.

I also picked up my first SIDESHOW collectible Joe. Got the 12 inch Firefly. It's pretty sweet! Lots of awesome and realistic details. Like a masterpiece Transformer. SO I am happy with it.

I've heard several reasons the one that is most repeated is that ROC did not sell well and those shu zu pets move like gangbusters

The wal-mart's up here in washington state have started getting them in and if push comes to shove just goto bbts.com, they have the complete first and second waves for sale.

They're moving well by me although the Jungle theater is heavily under manned. Besides the Jungle Viper where's Cobra?

I've never collected G.I. Joe's before, but I stumbled upon a Jungle Viper at TRU and it looked so awesome I had to get one. It's a really nice figure, this may be the start of a beautiful wallet draining friendship.

Where are all the Alley Vipers? I can find Jungle Vipers up the yin-yang, but not a single Alley Viper.

They were wave 1 and wave 2 is now on shelves. When they were out I was only able to find 2 and 1 was for somebody else. Can't find a Jungle Viper though.

Finished Cobra #8 featuring Skullbuster, training new recruits. Totally reminds me of the awful things that Chuckles had to do in the first mini-series.

It is part of The Coil arc but it definitely stands on its own.

I also recently picked up Classic GI Joe Volume 9 and the Special Missions paperbacks. I'm really glad that IDW recolored these. The Classic Transformers books look like they were just scanned and left alone, leaving those halftone dots. I wish IDW treated these old Transformers with the same amount of care as the GI Joe reprints.

Yeah it really would. All these companies put out figures like that in the 12" scale but nothing for the 4" or even 6" scale.

GI Joe: Cobra Special #2 is a great read.

Though I was surprised that it included Duane Swierczynski's entire novella from the upcoming Tales from the Cobra Wars anthology. I thought it would be a 5 page preview but was pleasantly surprised it was the complete story. Love Duane's little nods to previous works. It's seriously Duel with GI Joe and Cobra.

Best deal this week for $5.

Found some Devil's Due paperbacks for half off. I couldn't resist picking these up.

Thought that leads into my OCD collecting... do I buy the rest of the Reloaded and America's Elite paperbacks? I was hoping to bind those into custom hardcovers some day.

It helps if you keep in mind he's a double homage; first to Bruce Lee from enter the Dragon, second to Cobra Kai from Karate Kid.
