GREATEST CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT EVER
I don't know if this has been brought up before but i wish to ask every one who they thought was the greatest character development ever in the transformers history. Mine is starscream from armada, though it had some really good anime detials some times nd crappy most of the time i still love this decipticons character development. He's hated by both sides but loved by the humans. His death was one of the only transformer deaths i ever cried to first prime original movie, dinobot and then starscream i think star scream the most cause he just got to you. His development was out standing and the writer who wrote that character should be awrded. I really hope if they do another series that follows cybertron that THAT star scream can be brought back to life in some way they touch the original spark again or they are able to get primus to bring him back nd bring him as a warior autobot that would be fantastic or same story line decipticon but turns sides for good.

I love Armada Starscream!! He's my favorite TF ever.
I loved him even back when I was an eight year old.

He was the only one I could really relate to without having to stretch things too much.

I have to say I was thinking of it the other day and the unicron trilogy realy is the telling of StarScream's change from civilian to deviant.
Think about, as far back as G1, StarScream didn't start out as evil, he was a scientist.
Armada portrayed him as a soldier, somewhat new to war trying to determine right and wrong and the values of power as apose to integrity
Enegron had him revived as the previous war within tore him asunder, and it was loyalty that he held most dear. Loyalty to a trecherious hand that would shape his future self, but loyalty none the less.
Cybertron showes his mature self, a being who knows loyalty, and the ways of war, has a strong sense of his self which makes him feel superior to those around him and desides to follow the one thing he's missing...
...power.
StarScream will never be this detailed again.

Ya beat me to it! The development in BW was really rather good, compared to the "Captain Caveman" he was in G1

Dinobot wasn't in G1. Are you confusing him with Grimlock?

Dinobot, bar none.
watch all eppys of BW season 1 and season 2 until the point that he sacrifices himself and you can see the excellent development of his character.
he starts out as just a warrior who is just hungry for revenge as well as the thrill of battle and concerned about nothing else. but along the course of the series he starts to develop camaraderie (in a way, of course) with even his staunchest critic, Rattrap;
a wee bit of humor (as evidenced by the Dinobot clone eppy, when he ate the clone in the end);
even some leadership capabilities;
and PERSONAL CONFLICT has never been more evidenced in any animated Transformer other than in Dinobot's musings on the Golden Disks ("to be, or not to be"), as well as the inner turmoil he felt in "Code of Hero".

The majority of the BW characters were very well developed, and Dinobot is typically first to mind due to his tragic and heroic death. For me, though, I have to admit, I found Blackarachnia to be at the top of the list. Just watching her grow from her beginning in BW all the way to BM really. Dinobot died, but Blackarachnia found her way out of the darkness.

Interesting points, but it is worth bearing in mind that this doesn't apply to the original anime, only the Western dubs. Unlike Energon in Superlink Nightscream was a different character entirely and unlike Cybertron which is shoehorned in as a continuation Galaxy Force is an entirely seperate continuity.
If and when we ever get full series DVDs for the 'trilogy' I'd really hope to see subbed versions of the originals as well as the dubbed versions although I realise that it's unlikely especially when there are odd episodes that didn't make it into the Western versions at all.
Back on topic I do really like what was done with Starscream in Micron Legend and Armada. We should have more sympathetic villains. I'd love to see a similar approach with Starscream in Animated, perhaps underplayed in the first year and becoming a major story arc with the second season, and this despite me being something of a fanboy for the treacherous schemer that we know and love from other continuities.

yes i know that you need to re read thing carefully BEFORE you go saying thing that can bite you on the bum. What i said was sixshot wasn't a headmaster yeah he was on the series but he wasn't a head master. I quickly wrote tht so it may of been my fault but i can still interpret it still as six shot wsn't a head master telling some one who hs been collecting for 13 years to learn some more info on transformers before saying that aint a good idea, it's an insult i take deeply. So klingon you need to re think before you sy something, Also i havnt really seen much of the japanese series head master got sick of it when they would link and circle and fire beams down at the enemy found that and swapping heads a bit to corny. Best wars in japan was good armada,energon cybertron good the original movie fantastic same with scrambel city but hed master series a bit to corny. Rodimus, kup and blur leaving arcee behind with the head masters NO matrix of leadership passed on wtf!
