I have three. One nearly complete, and two missing most accessories.

SCROPONOK is awesome!
He has all those things that do that stuff.
On top of all that, he transforms.

To me, in this case, the first is still the best. G1 Scorponok is the epitomie of badassness, even for a large Decepticon...all others have just been pretenders to the Throne.

But, I must say that BW Scorponok was an AWESOME figure, and very original in concept, and execution.

But G1 Scorponok is still The Boss in my book.

I disagree about BW Scorpy. He is a badass looking figure, but that cyberbee feature that doesn't function properly for long absolutely ruins him. I've thought of just gluing mine down, but then I just sold it.

Roughly how much is a G1 scorponok? I have one with a tattered box (tech spec cutout) but have shell and figure with only one accessory missing I think. Joints are very tight - barely played with.

thx

I'm not going to sell it - just wondering about the market value. The toy is C8.5 to 9 condition, tight joints, no discoloring (sat in box).

WITH the box, they fetch $225-250, sometimes more. I lost two with the box that were well over $300...I know, I looked on eBay for MONTHS for one...and now...I have...three.

And, uh...believe it or not...on the 1st, I bought one MINT and complete in a c8 box as well...

Because 1 G1 Scorponok is NEVER ENOUGH!

I can GUARANTEE I have more G1 Scorponoks than ANYONE here on Seiertron.com! Bwuahahahahahaha

The larger pieces like the orange ramps are easy to source on ePay. But the smaller bits are VERY HARD to find. That is why I just bought this one, because it is COMPLETE, unlike the others I have, where I have enough parts to make only one, kind of complete (missing 3 radar dishes, both chrome leg guards, FastTrack's two arms, and his two tiny orance guns)...so, yeah he comes with a few parts. About as many as old Metroplex.

Hey, wait a tick, headless SCROPONOKS don't count! :-x

But my 2 Brave Maximus figures would stomp on your 3 SCROPONOKS.

I just have one SCROPO. Maybe someday I'll snag another. He is one of the coolest. I wish I had a Black Zarak but I hear they are extremely fragile. :(

He is very fragile. Not worth the cash, IMHO.

Besides, why pay 2X the price when you can have the version with the non-breaking feature for free?

That is IF you can find a Black Zarak...better luck looking for moon rocks here on earth, friend...probably cheaper too.

Not really...Scorponok is Fort Max's waitress.

It would not be that way if Scorponok actually got a figure 2X LARGER to compete with the big Max.

This way, the Decepticons will always be destined for defeat...at least in the G1 universe.

An unfortunate situation...

Well, with 3 already here, and a 4th, fully-armed reinforcement arriving soon, I guess the team of Scorponoks can, indeed "swarm".

Good stuff.

I have a loose Metroplex too. I'm 90% sure it's complete. What do those go for loose? Boxed? Who is the hardest to find of the big guys - Omega? Trypticon? Metro? Scorpy?

Not that I own all of those, but UNboxed:
Metroplex: $80-100
Trypticon: $120-180
Omega Supreme: $140-200
Scorponok: $180-240

Boxed prices, believe me, you DON'T want to know...especially if you are trying to buy one.

I have a C9.5+ Metroplex that has EVERYTHING except for the red plastic reader strip and istruction booklet. He also has his box C7 with a NM styrofoam insert. I have tried to sell him, but no one wants to pay what I want for him: $200 plus s+h. So, I will just keep him.

But anyone worth their salt on this board call tell you that a lot of G1 stuff, especially the "CityFormers/BaseFormers", bring in the BIG cash come buying/selling time.

And they will only keep going up in value, believe it.
