I can't see my avatar or most of everyone else's.

Edit: the avatar and signature options don't work (to display them or not). I thought I saw an avatar or two, but I must be mistaken.

They appear when you look at your profile.
They are still down and hopefully should be back up an working soon.

I'm unsure on Avatars but Sigs can be 300x500 either way and no larger than 40kb.

Ok, the solutions didn't exactly work for me. I realized by looking that Photoshop has a HTML option for signature usage. One sig worked, the other didn't. Fortunately the one I wanted does work. But when it comes time to switch (reflecting character change in the rpg) I'm gonna need it to work, and I'll figure it out then (or I'll scream for help).

I think everything is in working order down there. Now to get my free sighost account to add and delete images...

I've got a whisper sig since the profiles were acting up and i still can't load it for lack of a host site :cry:

hmm.. maybe he's still hosting it :-?

We're still going with 40kb sigs at max?
That's so... old skool... It's 2007 these days. This is the only board I know that still has 10kb avatars and 40kb sigs. Which I find odd considering this is a pretty picture intensive site.

*edit oh and I just noticed my current sig is 76kb. I haven't heard any complains about it so far.

Is that really necessary? Like I said, we live in the year 2007. This nitpicking about 60kb more or less is silly. Only the 5 people with dail up are going to notice it (and they shouldn't have pictures enabled anywhere when they only care about reading text). I really think seibertron should up the avatar and signature size once the new system is installed.

1. More people use dial up then you think.
2. It would be unfair to deprive low band users from viewing the site in it's entirety.
3. It's not my call to make. I don't own the servers that get taxed by all the images being loaded on this site. Ryan does.
4. If you think it's unfair contact him directly through PM and discuss it. But until then I'll be following the rules the ones before me established.
