Damn, have I really been on this site for 5 years? Wow...nice to meet you too Ryan...next time we'll sit down and have a drink or two, though I seem to remember you mentioning you don't drink (so I'll drink for both of us!).

If people are still interested in the get-together on Friday, I need a head count and a vote: I'm looking at Houlihan's or Hooters (both are right by Woodfield Mall. THe plan is to hang in the bar, meeting at like 830ish or so. Significant others are welcome, of course, unless you don't want to bring them! It's easier to get out when you can bring them along, I find..heh heh.

Freeport Wal-mart stocked up on wave 1 and 2 of Generations figs. :roll:

No go on anything else anywhere. K-mart didn't have any RTS at all. :-(

And once I get a car I will try and make it to meet ups. But that is tax time.

Jazz, Tracks, Mindset and Fallback are down at the K-mart off of Sandy Hallow and 11th st in Rockford.

Also wish I could make this meet up. Sadly my funds have gone towards Christmas and bills, bah humbug =/

Sweet glad to hear they are slowly creeping this way. Got a Jazz in the mail today and I love it. I want Tracks but doubt it will be there this weekend by the time I get up there. Maybe Freeport K-mart will get a shipment in by then. One good thing about this little town is the only competition on getting new stuff is kids. :lol:

That is doable for me in the future. I know exactly where that is. I miss Tomorrow is Yesterday though. I understand the reason for change but man I loved that store.

Good day for me! I just got a $10 off coupon yesterday, and managed to get by the Kohl's on Schaumburg and Barrington in Schaumburg to get Jazz. There's one Jazz, two Tracks, and a Mindset and Fallback left.

Following that, I randomly went to the Target on that corner too, and lucked out in getting the last Skullgrin! There's still a Cliffjumper, but no sign of Thunderwing.

Usually $14.99, but they're "on sale" for $12.49. I never get TFs there unless I have some kind of coupon. Though I'll admit I'm kind of regretting not grabbing Tracks too.

Well, whatever the reason, we need to get a get together going so we can put some names and faces together. We get a few going on now, I have enough property we can have a cookout/bonfire in the spring or summer if we have some people.

I wouldn't mind doing it, besides I'm sure I will luck out on deals and trades I otherwise wouldn't see without meeting some of you guys.

We should try and get a few meets together over the winter when everyone is stuck inside though.

Agreed.

On a sad note for all us Cubs fans, Ron Santo passed away today. One of the best third baseman of his generation and a man who deserves to be in the Hall of Fame...though he was a lousy broadcaster. Rest in peace, Ronny.

The Toys'R'Us up on E.State has brand new stock, I saw Terradive, a butt load of Darkmounts, 1 Megatron, 2 Thunderwings {picked up one} 2 of Cliffjumper, Tomahawk, 1 Skullgrin.

This is a shout out to all the Rockford collectors, get out there and get'em if you need them. And start looking elsewhere I'm sure Target, and the Walmarts on E.state and Riverside are stocked with new lines as well.

Ron Santo was far too classy to say this, so I will: screw the Hall of Fame- if they were too damn blind to see what a great player and human being Ron Santo was, they don't deserve to have him associated with them. Ron's #10 flying over Wrigley Field is all the fame he needs IMHO- Ron himself even said that was his Hall of Fame. I hope his family declines to let him be inducted, if that's possible. You know the Hall will be all over him now, idiots.

And he was a great commentator, which I feel is different from a broadcaster. Pat Hughes handled the broadcasting, Ronnie made us laugh and feel the ups and downs of the game. I'll miss him on the radio. IIRC there is going to be a CD collection of the "Pat and Ron Show" available, if not already.
