Not as of Saturday around 5:00 P.M. There was one Ratchet, no Arcees. Ratchet's Cybertron alt mode looks pretty uninspired, but I was looking for Arcee anyway.

It's been awhile since I posted, it's been even longer since I went TF hunting.

However, I recently decided I wanted that Arcee, MP Skywarp, Bludgeon, and maybe Mindwipe.

After visiting 4 WalMarts, I finally found MP Skywarp for $30 at the Worth location on 10000 South Harlem; there were still 4 left in the toy clearance section. I'm really glad I waited on this figure.

Haven't seen Bludgeon yet, but saw Mindwipe at a couple Targets including the one in Orland Park. I passed on that figure since my heart is set on Bludgeon. I'll likely just save myself the hassle and go through HTS.

Also noticed HA Barricade at a few WalMarts in the South suburbs. Any thoughts/recommendations on that figure?

Commemorative Perceptor can still be found at most TRUs. $35 was just way too much for this figure in the 1st place; hopefully, it drops about $10 eventually.

Target in Villa Park, on North Ave., had ROTF deluxes at 9.99, regularly 11.99. They ha a couple each of the latest wave exc. for Brawn and Ratchet- Armorhide, Dirge, Alliance Bee were there.

For NDfP, they also had a single Bludgeon. And FWIW, I love HA Barricade, he's got a beautiful alt mode, and a very menacing robot mode. A couple simple mods make him even better.

Walmart Mt Prospect on Saturday had several Legends Class Soundwaves and Wheelies. Sorry I didn't post this sooner. Had my hands full with the server crash last week.

Crystal Lake Walmart has a ton of the exclusive 2-pack Scouts. No sign of Legends Devastator though. Nothing new at Crystal Lake Target or TRU.

Algonquin Target, TRU, and Walmart didn't have anything new. If anyone finds TRU Exclusive Animated Arcee & Ratchet, I'll gladly meet up and pay you back if you can grab one of each for me. Thanks!

One more thing, I'm trying to get things going with my painting, and I just got done putting up my first show at a coffee shop in Crystal Lake called Conscious Cup Coffee. Most of you guys are pretty far away from that, but hey, I gotta get the word out any way I can, right?

Hey that's pretty cool. Wish I could get out there to check it out ... maybe one of these endless toy hunts will take me out that way again soon.

Something about the above painting reminds me of the Human Torch. Must just be the colors. All of this style of artwork seems to remind me of those pieces of artwork that used to be a doctor offices everywhere that you had to stare at for a while to see what was "really" there.

The Niles Walmart near Golf-Mil had 2 Legends Devastators when I got there, and when I left they had... 2. I passed on him, mostly bec. I'm trying to trade for him instead. He looks awesome in person BTW.

EDIT- Target Golf-Mil also had one ROTF Shadow Command Megatron, $35. He looks really cool in person too.

Thanks! Yeah, that piece and other paintings that feature a lot of warm colors end up having that Human Torch feeling. It's hard to resist making them look like they're made of flames when I get to that point.

Schaumburg TRU got the exclusives in! Only there weren't too many left when I arrived. Thankfully, I was able to pick up an Arcee and Ratchet, and there's 1 Ratchet left. Glad I can finally stop checking TRU obsessively!

As of 12:00 today, Niles Toys R Us had 4 Shangai Showdown sets, 3 after I left. This store also had 1 lone TFA Cybertron Mode Ratchet.

Shadow Command Megatron at the Golf Mill Target.

And in today's "odd" sightings, the Jewel at Greenwood and Dempster had some figures from the first movie line: 1 Premium Series Jazz, 1 Premium Series Barricade, 2 Cliffjumpers, and a couple of the video game only extra characters.

Ooga! I forgot that the Shanghai Showdown set was a TRU exclusive. There's a TRU near my work, but they never have anything, headin' to Niles after work!

Actually went to TRU in Schaumburg (I think, the on enear Woodfield Mall) and they had 4 Shanghai Showdown sets. Got one, it's great. I like the rusty details on the ice cream twins, and the extra decals were a nice surprise.

Has anybody else had problems with the stickers in that Shanghai set? I got a bad set & they did not peel off the sheet correctly.

All but a couple of the stickers were a real bitch to get off. I managed to get all of them off with a lot of patience. It just took forever. Definitely not the best stickers ... and it doesn't help that they're not transparent like they should be.

Definitely thinking about getting the reprolabels for the extra Ice Cream Truck set that I have.

I love how all of the stores around here seemed to get plenty of stock of the Shanghai sets in but we were / are all scramblin' around to find Arcees and Ratchets which came 6 each to a store. I don't get what happened to the TFA line. The fans seemed to love it in the end, but the entire line seemed like one huge pegsitter ... and from the fate of the series itself, I'd say that was the case as far as retail chains went. Too bad ... they turned me into a TFA lover.

I KNOW! TFA is my favorite line, by far. I love the personality and style that's put into each figure, and the amount of design and engineering put into them to make them look like their character models while still transforming into their proper alt-modes. The line deserves a ton of credit for the ingenuity that's been put into it. It's a total shame that it wasn't more embraced by the fans and retailers. Perhaps it would have lasted longer if they didn't have the movies going at the same time. Kind of hard to care about the cartoon when you have a crazy-successful movie that's making you more money. Just bad timing...

Gotcha covered, chief. KMart on Ogden Ave., Naperville, had 4 Nebular Starscreams around noon today, I bought one of them. $26.49, ouchy. He's great tho!
