You, like many others are still basing your opinion of these characters on their G1 counterparts. You never realized it back then (too young like we all were) and as we grew up we just didn't give a damn, but the more you look at it, G1 was too convenient. Automatically, the Autobots knew the ins and outs, etc. Of course we ate it up like candy, they were the good guys.

These Autobots are still the good guys, but they're realistic and have no idea what these weird aliens have in store for them. Ironhide's also a very old man who's seen too much battle (with a bad hip mind you), so he truly doesn't know what to expect, except the worst. Of course, he and the others as the film progresses...learns that the humans in general actually are kind and generous as a people and Prime's right...they are worth saving and fighting for.

It was not only a funny clip, it was realistic. I think people forget that this film, while outlandish and it knows it, was still striving for some reality, make them at least tangible if nothing else.

And that, I'd say, they've accomplished and then some.

I completely second that.

Correction: After a six year hiatus, GM will begin production of the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro for the 2009 model year

I've personally only seen it reffered to as the '08 here in these forums. Every article I've seen has said it will sell first quarter '09. I think because its showcased in the movie people are thinking it comes out next year. I havent seen anything stating that though.

it doesn't matter. For the good guys dialog - I don't care how hardened he/she is- to even insinuate killing innocents is just wrong. When taken to an extreme, this is why we have VA tech and Columbine massacres -when talk like this permeates teens' minds.

Oh, for crying out loud, it's a bloody movie about robots. Stop being so damn Politically Correct. Anyone who lets themselves be influenced by something a giant robot on a movie screen says is an idiot.

I agree with your second statement, but there are a LOT of idiots in this world.
